After getting burned several times, by several different people, (some of them friends), I've long since decided never to lend a significant amount of money to anyone other than my long-term boyfriend. And I live with him, so at least I know where to find him if he doesn't pay me back.

You and I have known each other for 8 months and we play a lot of poker together? Fine. I'll lend you $20 to take a cab home after you've busted out. Hell, I'll even buy you a sandwich for lunch before you go home.

But ask to borrow anything over $50 from me (so you can 'get back in the game'/'pay your hotel bill'/'pay back a loan you took from another guy last week')? It ain't gonna happen. Not with me. I've been there and done that. And I'm tired of seeing it happen to friends and fellow poker players all over town.

I grew up with marc klang he lived up the street from me my entire life. Marc moved to fla about a year after highschool when he was busted in Rochester where he went to college for running a book. Marc was gone, and he owed a mutual friend of ours moeny when he fled. About 9 months ago marc came back to new jersey when his grandmother passed. The first thing he did was re pay our mutual friend the money he owed(1000 dollars) plus 500. I thought marc turned a corner. Marc stayed in NJ and needed a place to live so I hooked him up with my brother and he rented a room at his house. Marc would sometimes ask me to borrow a hundred bucks here and there and I would lend him it. But marc knows me and knows im a serious person and he wouldnt screw me over for afew hundred bucks. I also hooked marc up with my rounds, various home games I attended. Long story short marc went back to his old ways lost every dime he had with in a few months and even took out markers in Balleys Atlantic city for a few grand on his condo which he of course blew in like ten hands of blackjack. Marcs last week here he owed my brother rent(500 dollars) a friend and dealer at a game I attend 1400, which I told my brother to collect at the beginning of the month or throw the guy out and my friend Eric, well he did the old Marc Klang scam. Borrow some pay back quick then wallydrap ya for the big bucks and disappear. Marc left new narrow escaping new jersey with his knee caps took a plane back to i guess vegas? fla? idk...he left in such a hurry as well because my brother had charges against him marc stole his identity and took out a 1500 dollar loan online. The cops called my brother a month later and told them they picked Klang up, I guess he made bail.

He was a childhood friend and when he came home I did everything I could to help the man and he ****ed everybody over...its a shame

mr. marc klang himself called me at 5:30am (!!!) last night, after months of not hearing from him, and said he was "in Vegas, at Bellagio playing blackjack" and he had the $1200 he still owes me.

obviously I was at home in bed sleeping at the time, but we confirmed via text that I'd meet him at Rio at noon today to square up. shockingly, he's been MIA all day & he's not returning calls.

I am putting a $100 reward out there for anyone who can provide info that leads me to his squirrelly ass. he will likely be found at high-stakes blackjack tables and his pic is posted somewhere in this thread. he claims to still "have a horse in the shootout" so he will very likely be around Rio at some point this week.

I wouldn't worry much about it. It sounds like he's pretty intent on paying you back.

When the guy tells you half, you just say "you have 24 hours to give me 100% or your kid goes to jail. I've met other people with proof of wire fraud and we're going to the cops tomorrow with at least two felony counts".

Believe me, if the guy gave you 1/2, he obviously could've given you 100%, and had you said that you would've had 100% 15 minutes later.

i think we need to give Klang more time to prove he is a respectable trustworthy person .
