Major Tilt issues? Major Tilt issues?

10-20-2014 , 03:27 AM
Can't tell if I suck ass or if I have major tilt issues.
It's a common cycle with any game I'm playing since I started poker.
Right now I'm playing spin n go's, basically 3 player hypers.
Deposit $15, play spin n go's, get to $200 in a couple days of a couple hours play per day. Very patient. Congratulate the players who've beat me with better hands. No whining or crying.Very patient.
Than the suck outs come and it changes things.
Get sucked out on hand after hand than lose my **** and go on major tilt until I bust.
Re-deposit $90, run up to $275 in a few hours of work playing 7's spin n go.patience. Playing a solid game, letting others make mistakes, letting others go all in drawing dead, patience. Finally hit a ten times buy in jackpot, KK gets cracked by Acerag. And something happens. It's like that patience of walking on ice and being careful has hit its peak and the ice just cracks and I lose my ****. And start playing ultra aggressive, chasing losses, and just goes downhill.

Does anyone else go through this? Or have gone through this and corrected it?
Are these tilt issues or do I just suck? Not sure if I should quit poker or if I just need a tilt adjustment.

I don't think it's tilt, seems to me you have to fold more rivers

Rather shove suited connectables in their faces=winning strategy imo

losing a $7 spin and go is pretty trivial (see video)

It's not the fact I lost $7 that drives me nuts. It's the fact that the fat Russian who sucked me out is thinking he outplayed me whilst eating his ***** borscht.
Ps.
Classic video

Idk. Its more so 'they shouldnt always get rewarded for getting it in bad". Theres just no ***** shame. Last hand board comes 222 one spsde. Im holding k10 of spades and i know this guy isnt holding an ace or pairs so he calls my allin with j3 and ***** gets a jack. Jesus. But thats not even bad, thats nothing compared to what goes on. Is there an option to show your cards before they call? nevermind, i tell them in chat what i have and they still call. Its just hard to not go on tilt.

it sounds like the real issue is that you just suck at life, which has translated to the way you view expectation in poker and that misconception has caused you to suck at poker but be very good at losing small amounts of money that only a complete ****ing loser would whine about losing.

tl;dr - cliffs:

Spoiler:
**** YOU

(TLDR incoming)

Theres an old saying,i dont remember it exactly but it goes something like:
"the quiet ones do the biggest noise when they finally explode" or something like that..

Im sure youre getting irritated when somebody does something completely ******ed but wins the hand, you suck the small loss up,congratulate the guy and try to move on.

Well dont do that, cause then you accumulate all those angry feelings of injustice and stuff and then theres so much you can take, resulting in a big "explosion",costing your whole bankroll.

Next time try to let it out immediatelly, not talking about crying walls of texts in the chatbox but more like "lol clown" or "wow, seriously quit life dude " "what a ******".

It doesnt seem to change much, but at least you let it out someway.
Dont have to care about manners, etiquette and stuff like "dont berate the fish".This stuff maybe applies in live poker.
The fish wont get embarassed, hurt or play better, you probably wont even remember each other next time you meet(obviously talking about playing online).

Not ashamed to say that this really works for me as well.Try it out!

Thanks for an actual reply.
what I mean is I congragulate the person who beat me by outplaying me or trapping me,just respect,no one to blame but myself. They deserved to win.And I'm actually happy that I lost for a change to a guy who clearly outwitted me.
I have to learn to shut the computer off as soon as I'm tilted.

When you get it in good ,you are not very far ahead in most hands. You have to remind yourself that you chose a game that has wide variance because of this and you will get beaten when ahead at least IDK 25% of the time?

Yeah man,im just being a cwybabie. Yesterday board comes Q28 all hearts, buddy with similiar stack pots it and i know he only pots to protect his midpairs and most likely has no hearts,so i reraise allin with top pair no hearts and he calls showing 78 no hearts , he loses the 4x multiplier tourney and im baffled. This thread was inspired by these players calling a raise and getting it in bad, only this time no suckouts.

I see letters and numbers. Despite this hodge-podge of communication, I suggest that you not put your money in when it's clear that you are going to lose on the river. Don't feel down though... this is a common mistake among novices. Also, you should have more chips at the start of a hand.
