Since you requested it I'll get to writing a life update. I worked an average of 80 hours a week in November and December getting a new personal business venture off the ground here in California and it's been just as expensive in money as it has been in time. Worse part is it's incomplete but the good news is there are new stories to tell. Will I get to one tonight? Probably not but I'll make an effort to get some updates up very soon

So things have been up and down but mostly positive. Like I mentioned I got my own business off the ground, my first venture without any outside investment (my girl contributed but I consider her “inside” investment). We have a little office set up in the heart of Irvine, CA and we work 3 branches: We are a Services group that have a couple people that specialize in different areas - We do some memorabilia/collectible trading, we do some financial investing, domestically, internationally and crypto. We also do consulting helping retail cannabis business in CA, NV, CO, OR and WA get organized and reduce shrink and inefficiency.

I oversee all 3 areas and work directly in the consulting area while learning and assisting in the financial investing. I spent a couple of years while in L.A. helping friends run their Medical MJ dispensary part time and learned a bunch about their operations and how they fixed a lot of common issues so I’ve taken that knowledge to help people who are jumping into the industry with 2 feet but may not be aware of or prepared for all of the potential pitfalls. It gets more complicated than a sketchy customer stealing a jar or an employee skimming nugs or edibles.

While I was launching this my Dad who has been a blues guitarist and singer/songwriter for nearly 50 years suffered 2 collapse disc in his neck due to a degenerative condition and has lost function in one of his hands and his walking is affected. We were supposed to have a consultation with his surgeon today but the surgeon didn’t show up for work! With zero explanation! We rescheduled with a new doctor for Monday so we can get this taken care of b/c the injury it has totally F’d up his life and functioning.

Other than that I started outlining a pilot for some of my misadventures in college revolving around the ways I paid my bills and the partying and troubles that got me into. It’s obviously dramatized and is going to be embellished and get the character into much deeper troubles with much more dangerous people than I ever did. It’s a fun way to kind of re-hash some of those memories though and play with “what ifs”. We’ll see if I find the time and motivation to get a couple drafts completed and maybe send to my Rep to send to Netflix - they freaking green light everything these days, especially if it’s even remotely party favor related.

Hey there thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ve enjoyed the second 100 as much as the first. There have been life changes even since my last update and since there is interest (even if it’s a few people) I should pour some whiskey on the rocks and post an update for spring ‘18.

A very close writing mentor of mine is a personal friend of Corey Feldman and of the late Corey Haim. We would smoke and drink after notes meetings and he would tell me about the things the Corey’s had told him about their childhood. Horrible, disturbing things; things that when your hear how people have manipulated and perverted their power it makes one all rage angry and teary. How could someone be so abusive?

There are people who abuse their power like Singer or Weinstein and there are people who’s power have made them make choices they may have not made otherwise like Louis CK or Aziz. There def should be some clarifications made in this #metoo movement between the Rose McGowan’s and the writing assistants and actresses Louis showed his D to.

To finish on Corey: when I saw his “The View” interview years ago where Barbara Walters demonized him for outing the terrible atrocities he endured and witnessed I was 95% done with Hollywood. It was so disenchanting to see a reporter I looked up to being a part of the inner circle and treating a victim like a bad guy... a victim I knew through a trusted friend was a really good and honest person... a reporter who looking back at that interview was pretty clearly covering up personal friends wrongdoings with her terrible
Interview... it showed me although I enjoy entertainment I felt really bad possibly accepting checks from producers who were terrible people.

My desire to have my work seen keeps one toe in the game but I don’t really like myself for it to be honest.
