Hey all,

Here’s my one serious post for the year:

I’m raising funds for a group I work with (Family Service League) that provides shelter to the homeless during the winter (and extreme summer days).

I volunteered with the program last season and found it very fulfilling. Some of these people are even worse off than Sammy.

While we do have some federal assistance, it’s been cut this year by the Racist-in-Chief and we are reaching out to members of the community, friends, and busto poker players from Europe and Australia.

Donations will go to purchase Food, Clothes, Motel rooms (when we are unable to secure a sanctuary for the night), transportation, and other basic needs.

Last season, I volunteered as a driver and overnight chaperone (5 days a week ).

Those who follow me on Twitter may have seen some threads I made discussing the program last year.

Anyway, if you’re interested in donating, DM me. Venmo/Paypal is probably the easiest way, or if you prefer checks can be made out to Family Service League.

Every dollar counts, and goes a long way. Also, if you are in the US we are always looking for Warm coats, jeans, sweaters/shirts, shoes, boots, etc. (i assume cost of shipping that stuff from outside US is cost prohibitive.)

So, next time you feel like putting that buyin you’re just gonna blow anyway to good use, HMU. Any amount from $1 to $1 mil is appreciated.

Note the group is non-demoninational, but churches and temples are the most frequent donors of places to sleep, hence the crosses.

I’d say anyone who donates gets free DFS lineups/advice, but i suck at baseball so it could be s net negative.

I might just take you up on that. I’m willing to make a fool of myself for a good cause.

Glad to hear that you’re well after last years storms in South Carolina. Even happier to hear you’re well enough to afford NY and are doing good things for the people there. I also want to say that if Sammy ever comes to NY, he’d be more than welcome to join the program (there’s no such thing as being too poor). And for once, he’d actually have a good meal.
