Three left in a 6 max donk and go. I am just behind the chip leader and the ss has like 2 BBs.
The button insta shoves and the ss sb folds leaving him like 500 chips with the blinds at 150-300.
AA....fml
I wanted to fold. I needed to fold. It was the right move to fold. I saw myself folding and it was awesome...then....without warning or my permission my hand clicked the all in button and I was facing my opponents pair of 8's.
Flop. No worries but no help either. No flush draws for either player.
Turn. Total blank. Neither player has any draw so player 1 is down to two outs.
River. Eight. Mother %$$#@@ing eight!!!!!
So I have now personally been in the spot where it is %100 correct to fold AA PF and I was too much of a loser to do it and paid the price.
got laid though so the day kind of evened itself out.

Ok, no strat in bbv but i'm wondering.
Suppose prizes are $60/$120.
Suppose SB has 500, BB had 4000 and BTN 4500.
If you fold, equity is around $90.
If you call and win, equity is around $120 (a bit less since he covers you)
If you call and lose, equity is $0
so equity of calling is around 0.8 * $120- = around $90.
I'm wondering if it's indeed good to fold aces here, especially if you think you had an edge heads up
EDIT: With those stack sizes, ICM gives $91.97 for calling and $80.48 for folding.
I did not smash anything....I'm 38 years old and married with two kids and a dog...if I was going to smash something over thirty dollars I would either be in jail or the nut house by now.
I didn't actually bring up the wife on purpose...I just mentioned that I got laid and then responded to the hooker comments by mentioning that I am indeed, married.
