Japan had it in the bag until Belgium, like my goldendoodle, realized how tall they really are and got up on the table and got the result

I'm 5/6 picks so far

But tomorrow just such a lottery, definitely the toughest two matches to pick, if it was real money I would not bet on either of them. Well done Mrmmmkkkay

Early 2012 actually

I'll tell you the story, as every single time I say I'm a Warriors fan, everyone assumes I'm a bandwagoner.

I hadn't been following the NBA closely since MJ retired in the 90s. MJ was basketball for me, so when he left there was a vacuum left behind. As I'm from Australia, I didn't have any affinity with the city of Chicago. Yes, I wanted them to win, but only because MJ was there.

Also, when he retired it was basically when I started full time work, so following basketball closely wasn't easy to do. There were also no teams/players that jumped out at me to put my love behind. I did watch some games, particularly come playoffs/finals times.

Anyway... fast forward 10 or so years and now I quit my job and was traveling the world, I had time to actually start following a team. I was also spending a heap of time in the USA, so that helped. And basketball is my favorite sport.

I just had to pick a team. I had always had a soft spot for Milwaukee because they had drafted Bogut (Australian). I always kept track on how he was going. Then in early 2012 they traded him to GSW. It also coincided with me knowing that I was going to be living in San Fran at the start of the 2012-13 season. So, it was destiny. I followed the Warriors from afar for the remainder of the 2011-12 season (Bogut was actually out injured) and they sucked 23-43 (Steph was also out injured, but at that stage he was a decent, but not great player).

So, I started watching them at the start of that season and really enjoyed the type of basketball they played. They were half decent, but only average. I think they were like 10-10 to start the season. But it got me hooked on them. Particularly some young guy named Steph Curry, who hadn't even been an All-Star at the time.

I then moved from San Fran, but kept watching them. I have watched every game they have played since. I haven't missed one.

It's turned out pretty good since

It's ****ed up I need to explain myself every time I tell someone I'm a Warriors fan though.

And on a side note I didn't like that Durant signed at the Warriors. I also don't like that Boogie signed with them either (though I'm not sure Boogie is going to be that great, but he's obviously worth a $5M gamble). I enjoyed the 2015 championship a lot more than 2017 and 18 or any potential future ones we might win.

Anyway, that's my story. I know I'm not a lifelong Warriors fan, but I wasn't jumping on some Championship certainty either.
