Hand starts with two limpers before the CO, who is one of the shorter stacks, shoving preflop for about 12x BB. Folds to the monster stack in BB who shoves allin over top for 130ish x BB. Limpers fold out. Short stack tables 88 and monster stack tables AA. Run out has monster stack felting the short stack.
With the monster stack shoving over the short, it would appear that they were attempting to isolate because they didn't have the NUTS preflop. Why, if they are not in any danger of losing a significant part of their stack, next largest stack was probably about 40x BB and they have the preflop "NUTS," would they not just call the first allin in hopes of inducing additional action from the limpers?
You described why "it would appear they were attempting to isolate". They were hoping others would feel this as well and refuse to be pushed around.
