Yeah, I was actually very curious about that too. How does that work exactly??

I quoted the relevant part, you went out of your way to emphasize he wasn't telling you what to do while you were playing and I think that's a crock of ****.

Sounds to me like you and him were scamming other players and then he lowered the boom on you.

He showed you how you and he could "team up" on other players when you shared your hole cards with him, and then he pulled the big scam on you.

You deserve no sympathy if that's what happened.

If that's not what happened, and you really are foolish enough to pay someone 1K to look at your hole cards, you deserve even less sympathy.

So, OP, you can make fun of my responses to your stupidity all you want, but I'm not the one who fell for such an obvious scam.

Whats your problem Chris? I dont get it.. this guy had terrible bad luck running into this skilled scammer and his only mistake is that he thinks to good about people. wich in many situations is a good thing btw.. And you just needle him like that, calling out that you dont believe him and then you go on and make personal attacks on somebody who had the worst couple of days ever! what kind of person does that? take a empathy pill man.. you need one, trust me.

In my view (as it seems) OP and his friend has handled this with style, not jumped to any hasted actions and just tried to find the best solution possible. I know for sure i would not be this rational. If someone stole that much money from me and i give OP lots of respect for that and I think it says allot about his character.

btw OP even said that he wouldnt push the scammer to pay back imiadialty because that would most likely make him scam someone else!..
(something tells me that you wouldnt think like that Chris.....)

I hope everything works out for OP. gl man

He signs up for msn messenger or whatever using those addresses, they send a validation email to those addresses but even if the email isn't validated he can still use that as his sign in, it just says (e-mail not confirmed) next to his name.

So scammer finds email addresses of high profile guys in the community and if they themselves haven't alredy created an msn account themselves using that email he can sign up with those addresses and impersonate those guys.

I can dodge bullets

This bobo (bank_1337) asked me on MSN for 5k$ to stake someone, and said I'm guaranteed at least 5k$ back, more if the stakee wins... Free money with 0 variance? Right. He was _VERY_ pissed when I just hinted that asking for 5k$ based on 2 hours of MSN convo is kind of weird and I need more time to think about it.

Everyone that I talked to had the "E-mail unconfirmed" thing and they gave a very weird explanation for it when I asked what it means.

There was Anette Obrestad in it too, "she" spoke Swedish and seemed legit but who knows...

MSPChris, have you ever been coached before? What OP is talking about is completely standard.

GL getting your money back OP, it sounds like you're confident you will.

What I find to be the most disappointing about this entire ordeal is that above all else the scammer should be put into the public light and obv isn't going to be.

In ANY country in the world when a thief is found to be a thief they are outed as such in newspapers relevant. This publishing site is a relevant source of this information. Just the same IRL the thief is either imprisoned or required to settle debt. The option has been taken to settle debt to OP. Fine. Great in fact. However, the name and all alias' should be released immediately.

If this guy is not outed after having been found to be an expert scam artist it is likely he will show up again in the future and if not, no worries, we at least know about him. If this happened to someone else by the same guy after he did it to you, you wouldn't feel sorry you didn't post what the community deserves to know?

You posted this story with the intent to seek help and guidance for recovering from your loss. I think much sympathy and assistance has been provided all throughout. It is probably only fair that you return the favor by making this mysterious figure, who is, in fact, a master of deception, known for what he is. How could you disagree?

Although by the looks of it.. You don't post here often and only joined to massively send out an SOS across all sites relating to poker to inform us of a talented scammer but for the sake of an IOU slip you will not tell anyone who it was that performed this masterful plot against you.
I'm glad you posted long enough to get help with this and then bounced.
You are just another glutton with a sad story. Just as selfish as the guy who scammed you apparently.

You tell us you caught a really bad man, you tell us what he did to you, we offer sympathy and advice (some even resources and personal time), and you don't have the decency to put a name on this parasite?

TBH, NO amount of "promised money" is ever worth not revealing a POS THIEF to everyone. You will not see any money from this guy! You are only giving him more time to use whatever resources he has left to get out of this. He's probably scamming others to this day simply because he hasnt been outed as a scammer on all aliases.

W/e. It won't be me.. so who cares. Hold on to that IOU dawg. Money in da...no, no money, no banks.. but you got that IOU! : D

Yo dude. Lets take a nice vaca on that IOU slip you got.
or..
Hey bro, can I borrow some of that IOU slip? I need gas.
maybe..
Goddamnit I'm hungry. I'm gonna treat myself to a nice steak with this IOU I got. SWEET!

rufkingsrs? IOU? You got robbed!!! ??? .... like..wtf?!?! A stranger, fooled you and stole from you. You hold back his name and for what?!?!?!?! A slip of paper that means not a goddamn thing???????
