I've been grinding 1c/2c for 4 years now and have turned a $20 deposit my brother who after he got back from college gave me into $23.47. I've played 12 hours a day every day for the last 4 years - 17,520 hours if you were wondering. 4 tables max of course. I started playing 1c/2c 6-max and won almost everyday right from the gecho using the set of rules and i really enjoyed the game as it was fun, competitive, and exciting. Now it's my time to teach my special strategies I've used over the years and my story too. I may make a video if people want me to.
BTW, I can gaurentee that their is no one in the world as good as me in 1c/2c 6-max right now except maybe wcrrider, durrr, PA, Ivey, OMG,urindanger, trex.
I don't get why people would think I'm making this up! I will post my graph soon, even though I didn't use PT and all these other programs that prohibit my growth I will work out a way to get a graph.
First off I want to say congrats and thanks for doing this! Not a lot of people have done this sort of thing and its inspiring to read of those who succeed at this game. Keep it up!
On to the questions:
1) How do you deal with variance and the discouragement of breakeven stretches along the way?
2) Have you had any coaching along the way to get where you are at today?
3) Could you post an interesting hand and your analysis to provide better insight into different lines?
4) Biggest puchase with winnings?
5) Has this success desensitized you towards money?

On to the questions:
1) How do you deal with variance and the discouragement of breakeven stretches along the way?
After Year 2 I went on a 450k hand breakeven stretch. Wasn't a big deal because playing 1c/2c is what I love, and I know that I'm the best in the world at it so I know nothing could stop me in the end.
I once went 175k hands without having AA, but I don't look at this as bad. In fact, I thank the poker gods for this because it kept me playing smart, making good moves, and bluffing heaps at 1c/2c.
2) Have you had any coaching along the way to get where you are at today?
Yes me and Krantz (he's a highstakes reg), had a small amount of sweat sessions together but he has a really strange playing which I don't believe is actually profitable and I know I play better then him so I ended that. I believe that Mike Sexton has had a big impact on my career. I have seen every episode of WPT and him and Vince Vanpattern have some really interesting debates which are really what poker's all about and I've learnt heaps from that.
BTW I offer coaching for $0.50/h. Please PM if interested and I can improve your game tremendously.
3) Could you post an interesting hand and your analysis to provide better insight into different lines?
This one was an interesting hand. I believe I played it correctly.
Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $2/$4 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)
River: ($614) 5 (2 players)
MP bets $20.00, Hero raises to $45.00, MP raises to $108.00 (all-in), Hero folds.
I think this an obvious fold on the end. He has represented quads as well as a straight flush, and it's easily a fold.
Please note this isn't my hand, just my analysis of how it was played. People at these levels are too terrible and I can't play with them.
4) Biggest puchase with winnings?
Just bought a new BIC 2-color pen. I'm not really rolled yet to start getting 4-color pens but that's definitely something I'm going to look into soon.
5) Has this success desensitized you towards money?
No. Every cent counts in this world and players like durrrr and Gus Hansen don't understand this. If I have KK facing a shove from someone preflop, and I am certain they have AA, I'm not going to call for the extra $0.20! It's just stupid. If I did I would be on $23.27 and not posting a thread like this.

Re: hi coaching question
I am quitting poker now that I have mastered the game and truly know what to do in every single scenario. There is no further I can go, and I will soon make a video about how to play. Thanks for the interest.
