Easy fold on the river, 22 and 77 both beat you. What else do you think the man has? With your inability to fold rivers you'll soon be broke.

Luckily there are enough d's on the street that need some sucking for dollars. You'll fit right in.

The good news is you dont have to pay any taxes on losses. How much have you won this year after taxes?

This is like every poker hand I’ve ever played. I open fold my flopped sets now because I know I’m crushed once the turn hits. If I turn the set I open fold then too cuz I know I’m crushed once the river hits. If I river the set I open fold because I know I’m crushed when the second river hits. If I river the set.....

I'm not sure whom you are referring too in regards to the lack of responses. If you mean me, then yes in part you do have a point considering that I haven't been active on this post for the most part since posting this. However that is due to the majority of responses to this post have been been to people who have been pm'ing me. I've been doing almost of all the initial dirty work through there.

I should make an effort to get some updates to this post and tend to it better, I'll try and get something out in the next few days.

With that being said, there have been just shy of 70 people reach out to me, I've responded to all of them. About 20 have been funneled to my skype and I've touched base with them with a "consultation" if you will.

Out of those 70, and the 20 which have taken the next step to get plugged in skype, I work with about 7 players on a weekly basis so far, with only 1 of those 7 being daily, which is ironic because he is the best out of the bunch and has thrown up some serious results in his career as well as taking down some tournys in the last month or so since we have been working together. He probably needs my help the least. We touch base every couple of hours and he's constantly sending me hands to go over when we get into the proverbial "lab," which is about every other day, but will be everyday starting fairly soon now that I've got some things ironed out in my personal life, such as moving into a new place...

There are two others that are showing some serious passion and improvement as well. One is waiting for me to finish putting together a lesson plan for him so I can help him transfer into another format and help him grow his roll faster with a higher roi, the format he is playing simply isn't paying enough for his time and effort. He also needs to get some more fundamentals down. Once I finish that I'll be spending more time with him, but for the time being, he is kind of on hold, but will be firing things up in the next week. Looking forward to that.

The other has a pretty good idea of what he is doing, but reaches out when he needs some pointers on certain spots with some funky ICM dynamics and what not, with the occasional range questions. He also has college to tend too as well so we get together on and off throughout the week when he's online and grinding.

Almost everyone else seems to lose steam after the "consultation." I'm sure its a mixture of their lack of passion as well as their skepticism or lack of faith in my ability to help them, which is understandable. I'm sure some of them expect me to initiate lessons with them as well. Some are probably testing the waters a bit.

This has been a huge learning process for me as well. I am by no means the best coach/tutor/poker friend out there. There have been many moments for me where I have had to admit to myself and those I'm working with that I simply didn't have answer for some spots, and there have been a handful of times that I have left a study session and found that some of the advice or answers I have given were wrong were wrong after further study. This has been quite embarrassing. I guess to my benefit, I have been very aggressive in finding answers to subjects, spots, and theorem where I perceive or know that I'm lacking as a "coach" or confidant. I do find it very challenging taking knowledge that is very concrete in my thought process and translating into English and conveying it in a way that whomever I am working with can understand. I am constantly reminded on Einstein when he says something along the lines of "If you cannot explain something to a 5 year old then you do not know it yourself." I'm constantly being challenged myself.

I do appreciate grace and opportunity those that I've been working with have shown me. I honestly feel very privileged and honored to be considered by those that I'm working with to weigh in on their game and livelihood. I enjoy it immensely and believe in the potential some of these players are showing.

My goal is to continue improving my ability to help and serve these players, which in turn is helping my game improve as well. I'm often faced with my own hypocrisy in my own personal and career endeavors and am choosing to take my own advice as well. Who knew...

This has been a huge learning opportunity for me. But it's been an absolute pleasure along the way. I've met some very talented and hungry players.

    Very thankful...
