the bonuses and such that you get for gold star are valued at ~21% rakeback. nothing is exact bc it isn't rakeback in the normal sense, just an approximation.

OP, why are you applying at places like Target and Taco Bell? If you need cash fast, there are a million 5-star restaurants in LA (or even 2-3 stars) where you will get cash every day in tips, even if they only hire you as a busser or food runner. You'll meet other cool people (many of whom will also have college degrees and came to L.A. to "make it" in Hollywood or whatever), and probably be able to find some roommates to move in with.

For all of you who ask how he has a degree and can't get a min wage job, has anyone watched the news recently? The economy sucks, and most companies are cutting costs with layoffs and NOT hiring.

Also, if you are currently working and not making much, look into applying for Food Stamps. My friend did it recently; you have to go to the office in person which takes a few hours, but it's probably worth it if you really are living on peanuts. There's no reason you should be starving--we all pay taxes so people like you can get help when you need it.
