So I'm playing 1/2 I'd say half the table is tags and the other is nit fish. Then all of a sudden this old guy sits down and this happens on the first hand he plays:

Button straddle $5
SB(old guy) calls $5
BB(tag v) raises to $11
Hero has black AA in co raises to $40
Btn folds old guy snap calls BB re raises to $130
I shove for about $250 total and both snap call

We flip before flop and BB has KK and old guy shows K10 . 3 hearts on the flop scary for me but aces held up. Not the point. Who goes all in for $200 with K10o?

He then ended up getting value bet repetitively by myself and others and ended up losing close to 1k. The only hand he won is when some idiot tried to bluff him and he called with 63 on a board with a 6 and 4 overs.

He then went to $2/5 and god knows what they did to him there.

So how often so you guys see "players" like this? I've only been playing live for less than a year and yea you get the occasional new player and drunk guy and mr too rich to fold but I don't think I've seen an all in call with k10o before.

Now days very rarely but dont get me wrong people like that are still out there...It sucks when you can't pick up a decent hand to play pots with against them and everyone else is getting paid off left and right.

It is unnecessary for you tell us that they where black. Total profiling.

There are some at every casino. For sure. At places I play, there are retired financial manager millionaire, car dealership millionaire, restaurant millionaire, etc. And they play 2-100 spread or 1-3NL with me.

Yes, they are great. But they can hurt you when they hit their 2 pair on the river and beat your AA with k3

LOL

this reminds me of one time this indian businessman sat down at the local 2/4 table, no idea what he's doing

some notable hands from that night
-4 way pot he bets 10 bucks each street, on river gets c/r to 100 by nut flush and he flatted with king high
- some dude shoved Qs9s on AsKs6, he snap calls with 22 and they hold
- last hand of the night i get it in on the flop for 1k against him with AQs on 9s6s4 for NFD, turn brick river brick. Ace high was good against his QJ

think he lost 2 to 3k that night

I've played 1/3 with a guy waiting for 200/400 lowball to start, he shoved max buyin dark EVERY hand for over 2 hours straight... and best part is he wasnt a fish, just preferred to donate to us than the pit games. Many 500BB+ pots were won with 83o that day (that was his gin hand for the session).

Dunno about live poker as i rarely play in casinos but in low stakes NLH on Stars/FTP there are alot, but its hard to find them since there are so many tables going on and the ones where they play have a huge waiting list,so they usually bust until you have a chance to play against them...

I played with one two days ago. Guy went all-in for $171 with J7o. He burned through like $800 in 40 minutes. He then got up and left without saying anything. The table couldn't stop laughing and talking about him after he left. He then came back and the whole table got quiet as he donked off another $200.

These guys are pretty rare these days though. A decade ago, they were everywhere. Now, I see these pre-flop all-ins for multi-hundreds of $$$ with two crappy unconnected, unsuited cards about once a month.

The best is this rich guy who makes a yearly trip to the casino and sticks in $300 blind pre-flop every hand. He's rich, drunk, and enjoys himself at a poker table more than anyone I've ever seen. Of course, he's everyone's favorite player.

Yes. In Vegas I see fish like this all the time and even up to 2/5. Just yesterday, I took ~700$ off a guy who jammed with a K high straight against my obvious Broadway. It was a 3 bet pot and he called with K9o OOP. I love this game.
