Nine handed at the Wynn.

I have AA in the lojack and I limp.

Hijack limps. Cutoff limps. Button raises to $50.

I call (lol). Hijack calls.

Cutoff re-raises to $100 (yesss). Button calls.

I re-re-raise to $550. Everyone folds except button, who asks how much I have left (about $6000).

Button tanks. BUTTON SHOVES.

I call.

I win. Button doesn't show.

Biggest pot of my life, by far. ^^

First. Awesome. Grats. $6k in 5/10? Is that normal?

The Wynn game is uncapped. Button actually had like $44k in front of him, which I think is the biggest stack I've ever seen at a 5/10 game.

Limping from that position? Odd play imo. Histor with players behind you I assume?
Glad it worked out for you.

Serious question. Do you get a significant physiological reaction from spots like this? Increased heartrate comes to mind.

Yeah, I was freaking out. When I lose about $2k or more in a session, I get really depressed and sometimes feel horrible for days. Several people at the table were laughing at how much I was spazzing out.

I'd lost $1600 with AA all-in preflop against 99 the day before, and I was paranoid it was going to happen again. Villain took forever to muck his hand. I think I was breathing really hard.

I hear you, I'm the same online. When I get in a few BI's deep in a single pot, my heart rate literally doubles in a few seconds and I can hear it pound in my head, lol.

Thankfully it doesn't affect my decision to get it in in the first place, it's more as if when the money's in I suddenly realize how much money it is and it hits me at once

Why does Villian have to muck his hand after you called his preflop allin? Does not he suppose to show it on the river before you face up your cards?

he snap called-tabled hand ala phil hellmuth (it would appear) - then villian decided not to show his hand. Probally sitting there in disgust "how did I get 6k in with Jacks?"

My physiological reaction would be to bust a nut so hard it sounds like a gunshot just went off in my pants

Online play would be like jerking it to Playboy magazines

Live play would be like spending a day at the Bunny Ranch

Online players just do not fully comprehend just how truly truly horrid some live players are, at all limits.

There are breeds of well moneyed "donks" that love to buy-in to 2/5nl, 5/10nl, 10/20nl... because of the poker snobbery that is ingrained in live play.

The higher the limit, the better the player you are obviously, so these players pride themselves on playing the higher limit games. Most of the players at these levels did not grind their way up the ladder, but rather started at that level because they have deep pockets.

How could you not love that
