I'm a recreational small-stakes player. I took a 12-year hiatus from poker and just started playing again back in July. I haven't been able to put in as many hours as I'd have liked because of other priorities in life, but I've done well overall since I started playing, starting with $320 in July and hitting $10k last night. In my charts below, you can see I stagnated a bit through Aug, Sept, Oct, but I stopped playing games that included PLO bomb pots after that, focusing on just Hold'em, and my win rate shot up.
And here are my stats for just the last 1.5 months after I stopped playing the PLO bomb pots.
Shameless self-promotion: if anyone's interested in watching any of my sessions, I've got a poker vlog I started cause I needed a damn hobby. https://www.youtube.com/c/HuggiePoker
