Not a dig btw just something someone said to me when i never used to game select and battled everyone, whats the point? your making either very little money or slightly winning vs regs and in tough line ups, of if you game select your making very much more, but same thing here if your stuck playing 25NL theres way better things to be doing with your time, like studying to move up
I definitely agree that the best overall strategy in ones poker career should be the one that brings in the most profit. I was definitely being hyperbolic / trolling with the comment disparaging tournaments, as I think they can actually be the most profitable format for a Great (not good) player. I suppose my only real criticism of tournaments as that it does sacrifice some of the creative aspect of poker, and fails to provide the same level of the creativity aspect that is core to successful deep stack play with the same opponents over longer sessions. For me personally they just don't get the real juices flowing in the cerebrum the same way as deep stack cash games. Its just personal choice though, and I think tourneys require just as much skill as cash games, just more math focused.

As for battling everyone, I am fairly new player and it's just a phase as a new player where I am trying to see where I am vs the best players. And nice graph, do want.
