i don't really understand why you would blow through $2700 like that. i mean, it's hilarious but think about what you could've bought for $2700 rather than doing this. it's pretty sick really, especially nwo taht you're living off your poker income
totally agree.

REALLY lame thread/idea imo.

I once played a 10+1 rebuy similar to this and it was fun for like the first 5 hands but then I felt really stupid after that.

as for the go all in thing it is often funny and stress relieving to do at low stakes cash NL- see .01/.02 for 5$ for those of us that did not make 5 figures last month.

Newhizzle, you shoulda just dedicated whatever money you felt like gambling away towards pit games. Would have been way funner AND made a better post for BBV

Also, please explain how newhizzle making a post about how he lost $2700 at Craps would be better than this trainwreck.

gild,

I see a big difference between this and playing BJ. Put another way, I can understand someone's rationalization for playing BJ, but I can't understand why someone would play BJ and hit every time they have 19. That would be just plain dumb.

This looks very much like simply a "OOOH LOOK HOW MUCH MONEY I HAVE, I CAN JUST BURN IT AWAY" contest. Good for them, I guess. As I said earlier, whatever.

This doesn't bother me nor do I care what anyone here does, I was just offering up my thoughts. In part because I didn't understand why people were being so harsh on freemoney for stating something I thought was pretty reasonable.

i mean im not really worried about it, i could easily lose that much in a bad 100 hands at the games i normally play, and im kinda sick right now and dont feel like playing for real

and i was bored, but whatever, i mean its money going back to the community, and you never know when some guys gonna want to take a shot at higher limits cuz their favorite fish is sittng

El,

This was meant as a fun contest for people to blow off some steam and build some social capital in BBV. I never intended people to blow thousands of dollars (thus why I chose limit and not NL). I intend on putting $100 towards doing this at the .25/.50 tables and having a blast for an hour or so 2-tabling.

I explained why I think it's more fun and better than blowing it at BJ and if you don't agree then we will have to agree to disagree.

El D,

I understand this logic much better. I agree that the challenge would have been better if it were simply 100% vpip preflop and try to play well postflop. That challenge would have more value than BJ.

blake

All I said was keep overall AF above 1 and raise a decent amount of hands pre-flop. I never said cap every street with T-high.

Gild, are you [censored] kidding me?

And in regards to the jealousy thing, yeah I would have much rather made 120k than 14k but I'll take what I can and am happy with how I did.

i have never played with you, and you seem to be making an impressive income, but your comments show a gross misunderstanding of a lot of important concepts. There is a huge difference between your expected earning and what you made over a relatively small sample.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again, but life goes on. -Blow

I'm doing this at 0.5/1 now. I'll be 1-tabling so I can really focus on playing well postflop, you know. Will post results later.

You also have a gross misunderstanding of the value of money to different people and the concept of utility. If someone gets $500 enjoyment out of a bottle of wine, who am I to judge them if they're willing to pay that much?

It sounds like Newwhizzle enjoyed playing 100/100 and we all got some entertainment out of it and the fishies got some money back.

God the sick beats I take. I'd be up 22 BB if it wasn't for two outdraws on the river. One 2-outer one 6-outer. Currently 7 BB in the red.

No, I don't. Hes a young kid who recently came across much more money then he is accustomed to. I am sure he is extrapolating his new found success into being a billionaire at 40. The idea that he is willing to blow 3k to simply say "look at me" shows an extreme amount of information about his personality, imo. Someone's value of an activity or object can be grossly skewed especially temporarily. The idea that the value of everything being self-deciding just doesn't hold that much water as an argument on a number of levels.

OMG SO FUNNY! Teh winnar is: MIN RAISE EVERY HAND ON EVERY STREET.

That makes no sense. I will be going to the lowest stakes table I can find on Stars tonigh and doing it...Actually this is a lot funnier that just pushing preflop...

To all the haters of this thread, please realize that you are like some dbag coming up to Steve-o as he runs down the street in his underwear with a goldfish stapled to his scrotum and saying, "You know, you could have been curing cancer or something..." I can't imagine a more fun way to waste money at home, so, here I go...

No, you guys are really missing the whole picture. A better analogy would be to watch a wealthy businessman go to the center of town and light money on fire, while his yes-men cream their pants.

El D,

From a previous thread, I have realized that we apparently have some diverging views on some activities which I consider to be good, clean fun and you apparently consider to be worthless, rude, or something else negative. That's fine. Perhaps it's generational, perhaps it's due to upbringing, perhaps it's due to some mental defect on my part.

However. In BBV, it is completely ridiculous to come into a thread marked "Play-Every-Hand Challenge" and then yell at people for wasting money. If you want to note, once, that you think this idea is stupid, fine. But to make several posts in the thread, where it is clear that other people are having a good time, is worthy of ridicule.

Highest regards,
TWP
