I fell asleep at the FT for a while, that was hilarious. Woke up and got ****ed on the river with 55 vs AK, he rivered king, then he knocked me out with KK but I wasn't trying to quit because it was ****ing 3:30am

It’s a dull 3-game NBA slate today, and I’m bored. If some of you folks play or want to play, here are some of the early lineups (placeholders) I’ll be using on DraftKings. Many of these will change based on news/lineups. (Especially the Knicks... they don’t have a standard rotation). Small slates like this are good for newbies...pros have less of an edge.

A few of the players are inserted for price ranging. I build lineups early in the AM then adjust them as news hits. I try to make them so that if I fall asleep before lock, I should still be competitive.

If you are new to DK and want a whopping $10 bonus, PM me for user name. It’s new for 2019 on off chance you knew old one. If anyone wants FanDuel, lemme know, tho at the moment I hate my builds there.

Only thing I ask is you don’t use these exact lineups in anything $15 and over. Unless you plan on giving me a commission .



Note: If you play multiple lineups, from a game theory perspective I would build 1 or 2 without Westbrook/ Paul George, who will be Super chalk today.

Here’s FanDuel. They need work. FanDuel is more newbie-friendly (less variables), but because of rigid positional structure, there are many pricing cliffs at different positions. On small slates they can be quite annoying, forcing you to chose players you normally would not.

Also, lowest score is dropped. However, unlike DK (and most sites) you cannot adjust after the slate locks.



Note: I am currently in the middle of a week-long FanDuel losing streak. YMMV.

KF - How much bball do you watch per day, or is it purely a numbers game where you just look at box scores etc?

I used to watch a lot more. Now, it’s mostly about numbers. But I also take into account the physicality of player v player matchups. (Like any sport, some guys just don’t match up well against others despite being more skilled).

When players go on hot/cold streaks I do try to watch them when I have time to see if it’s a problem of form/fatigue/coaching or just luck. (Nice thing about NBA is the luck factor is far less than in other sports. Don’t have to rely on HRs/TDs/Goals and, aside from the rare cancellation, weather and field conditions are never an issue.
