SO I was just thinking about some of the stupid things I did when I started playing poker and this one thing sticks out the most... I was just completely convinced that playing any pocket pair was a losing proposition. Why would I get involved when the best hand I can make is one pair?? Made me want to hear what anyone else remembers doing and justifying early on in their poker days.

Oh and the hand if I can recall correctly I was in MP in some $150 tourney oblivious to how much I had or even what the blinds were and i think utg limped and +1 folded I looked down at KK and threw it in the muck. BTW, I bubbled it at the same time someone else did so we split the min cash and i ended up -$65.

First week playing 6c Omaha on FTP,hit set w KK on AK4 flop,dude who has no bet/raise button and is only check/calling now bets pot

it was 3way,i folded and they went to showdown.

The guy potted like for the first time in his life,of course he had top set.
Other guy had something like top and bottom+gutter..
