Hi all, experienced this hand tonight at my local casino tournament. Worth mentioning as this is something you don't see often (first time for me), and I was hoping someone could help me calc'ing the probability of this hand happening. I have read older posts regarding set over sets, but haven't seen much chat regarding 3 made sets on the flop.
The hand :
Blinds: 200/400 400 BB ante
10 handed
UTG raise to 1600
Folds to hero in the CO - Call
Button call
SB call
BB fold
Flop - A 3 6
SB shoves all in for 5K
UTG all in for roughly 50k
Hero all in calls with 20K
SB is holding 33
UTG has AA
Hero has 66
Turn - brick
River - The poker gods must have been looking down on me tonight as I managed to river the last 6 for quads....
Weird hand and definitely had the poker room talking. Anyone have any idea of the odds of this happening on the flop? And am I right in thinking that my chance to river quads is 2% once I've flopped a set?
