I don't understand ****coin. More so after all the crack down on counterfeited real money back in the day. Then again, when you are trillions of dollars in debt, the states gov started counterfieting their own manies years ago.

From what I understand, the basic idea is to create a coin/code that's easy to mine at first, but as you mine more it gets harder to mine in a predictable fashion. That sort of artificial resource scarcity makes it valuable and holds up the value over time...is what they're going for.

Compare that to dollars, which are nearly worthless paper that the government can print up whenever they want.
