Everyone I know that has been to Denmark tells me they loved it.

Luxemburg is basically a drive through (we are on a road trip and we are driving from France to Germany), so if that's boring, it wont be boring for long.

For the record I never took the LoL gig from you; it was bestowed upon me unknowingly. Good choice though as we Germans take humor very seriously.

Switch Denmark to extra days in Berlin and live long and prosper.

if you don't mind answering I just want some advice as I'd like to do this as a single 21 year old male, I'm wondering how much have you spent within these last couple of years, what is your biggest expense is it mainly flight tickets? renting out the cars? I realize you are house sitting so because of that your expenses shouldn't be too crazy?

My costs would be substantially different to a single 21 yo (being that I'm mid 30s and in a relationship), so comparing costs would be a pointless exercise, but we've spent well into 6 figures. I assume you would go the backpacking route. There are a heap of resources out there about expenses you should expect. I think Nomadic Matt has a good e-book.

The biggest costs are probably about equal between air-flights, accommodation and food. While we house sit a lot, we also stay in other types of accommodation. We are too old for backpacking, so we tend to stay in nicer places (e.g. the place we are staying in in LA is 2,500 a month, though that is the most we have spent on long-term accommodation).

I was asking because I had a friend who used to travel in Asia a lot and said that after a while a got used to bribe people left and right to get things done lol.

I never wanted oral sex from a stranger, so I never "bribed" them to do it.

So you want us to believe this TR is not just a giant level, and then youre telling us you are/were in the Caribbean and never bribed anyone.

If you come back to Canada, I would recommend Montreal of course but also the eastern provinces in general. Québec city, Prince edward Island, Newfoundland, the mags (Les Iles de la madeleine) Toronto is great, but there is alot more to Canada than Toronto!

We had a business back in Australia that gave us about 30k a year or so for the first two years (not running anymore). We also have a couple of on-line things going on which has paid for the rest. We were down to under 10k for a while and we were close to having to buy a ticket back. One of the reasons for coming to the Bahamas was to slow the travel (and hence the costs) a bit so we could add some money back into the bank account. The online business has really picked up in the last few months (as being in one spot has allowed us to focus on it a bit more) and we are bringing in 5 figures a month now. It's also income that should be fairly sustainable. Hopefully.

And obviously the $150k a year 2+2 pay us to be moderators...

To be honest Cebu didn't really wow us. It's one of the places I didn't really feel safe in and it is a pretty poor country. To be fair we might not have given it enough time with only 5 days and would have only seen a small portion of it. Having said that I don't think we would go back.

Canada is a bit of a problem for us. We want to do a road trip from New York up the coast and then through that side of Canada, but due to the weather we are really limited to what time of year we can do it (there is a 3 month window every year). We do enjoy Canada though so we may eventually get it done.

I know, those cheapshots. You have to be on the board of directors of 2+2 to start marking serious money. Lots of EAD to get there though.
