I've been slack in telling stories, so I'll give you an update.
After finishing in Asia I came back to what I feel is my second home... the US of A.
I spent some time in Florida and Colorado house sitting. I love Colorado, particularly the mountains, with the exception of getting exhausted every time I walk up stairs (partly due to my fitness levels and partly due to the thin air). We were staying in a place with 4 floors and I needed to rest when trying to get to the top level. Had a great time there. So many 'products' to choose from. There was one that freaked me out a bit, which never normally happens. Spoke to the better half in the morning and she had the same reaction, so it wasn't just me. Having said that we haven't had any products for 12 months so it was well and truly out of the system.
After our US stay we flew down to Belize for 8 days before flying to PV, Mexico for 5 weeks. I don't love or hate Mexico. It's a bit of a weird feeling. It was cheap though but it's no good when you are sitting on the beach to turn around and see some guy having a piss.
We have now come across to Turks and Caicos for two weeks. Talk about paradise. Just ridiculously nice here. I think I could live in the Caribbean, maybe even get a boat and cruise from island to island. Pitty I know nothing about boats. Oh well looks easy, what could go wrong?
After our stay here we go back to Florida for a month for a house sitting gig. We've done the same sit now several times. Really nice house and great pets. Also really nice owners who really go out of our way to make us feel like family. Got a feeling that they will be leaving their pets to us in their will. I'm only half joking...
The plan after that is to spend 6 months in the Caribbean. The first 3 months are almost certain to be in Bahamas. The next 3 months we aren't too sure where it will be other than it will be in the Caribbean. We would like to come back to Turks and Caicos but it's super expensive here. Yesterday we went shopping and it cost us $450 for a trolley full of groceries. Would have been less than $200 in the US.
After 6 months of slow travel we plan on completing another road trip in the USA. Our intention is to start in Florida and drive the coast up to Maine. We will likely stop in New York for a month, but that will depend a bit on how our $$$ are going, as New York is obviously not very cheap.
That should see us through to the middle of summer next year. After that, it's up in the air. Maybe back to Europe or maybe back down to the Caribbean. I got a feeling we might be all americaed out by then, so maybe Europe is the option.
Anyway that's the update. If anyone wants a proper write-up on any of the places I've been let me know. I'll try and keep it entertaining.
As a reward to listening to my ramblings, here's some pretty pictures

You can walk out to that boat (it's a ship wreck) in the distance at low low tide
Finally got a half decent star photo - It still doesn't do it justice for how good it looks - I haven't seen it this clear since being in the Aussie outback
