Lol you're basically saying he can take whatever he wants as long as he pays the relative amount back to the party he stole from.

OP you'll end up like a friend of mine:
Took the last 200$ from the house without telling the wife. The money were for redecoration (to be paid the next day to some guy doing the job). Took the money, lost on a badbeat or whatever, got home and in the morning said to his wife: "honey I'll go buy a new toilet bowl and pay the man with the last 200$!" When she got home he told her he got robbed. (not before asking me to punch him so that he can have some wounds)
