Right? I found an episode on YT and watched a bit. So all kinds of people in the world of this show have these super-powered animals stowed away in little balls? And whenever they feel like it, they release them into an arena to let them fight until they're so beat up they're not able to fight anymore?

And it looks like they do it for sport?

What the actual F? I thought this was a Sci-Fi version of "Lassie", but it's more like Spartacus without sandals. If I had kids I wouldn't let them watch that show!

In Bavarian etymology every German outside old Bavaria (and maybe Francs, Swabs and Badensers, if you are being generous) is a Prussian and is being profiled and stereotyped kinda like the blacks in Murica

I've never watched Pokemon. But I knew they came from eggs.

As far as that Pokeyman business goes: I bought these first edition starter boxes more than 20 years ago for $1 each on clearance at my bookstore, because nobody went to bookstores to buy Pokemon cards (Digimon, on the other hand...). They're still in the plastic, and when last I checked they were practically worthless.
