Seems to be happening quite a bit. Tonight guy sits in 2-5 game on way to big PLO, makes a big show of all his striped chips and how the game is too small for him and how crazy he is going to play.

Keeps shipping. I limp with aces early, he ships 500 from small blind with 4-6 diamonds. Turned it right up as soon as I called. Somehow I actually won. Then he keeps doing it, then beats guy for stack with one-outer. Shoved several times in dark.

Anyway, guy is serious high limit player spewing like this in small game for him. Why? A screw loose?

Gamblers gotta gamble I guess. I remember this would happen on stars all the time at the micros back in the day. Some higher stakes player would sit and spew off 100s in minutes. It was fun seeing 50 buyin stacks and waitlists of 100+ people.

He might have a screw loose but he's probably got a lot more money and a lot hotter girlfriend then you OP.
If you not smart enough to work out how gamblers operate at casino, theres no hope for you OP.

You know I used to do the same thing at micros, so you've got a good point. But a couple thousand dollars pissing it off seem outrageous more than the micros. I think all those types doing this are heading for the bridge is out.

Well, you asked. Listen to this crap. I won about a dime in minutes, was going to dinner then watch world series told them I'd be back about midnight. WS game went to 3:30 AM so I didn't make it back. But what I'm getting at is that is my biggest win in nightmare run of 160 sessions, 2 1/2 years of utter card death, Never seen anything like it. It was 10 times longer than any bad streak I ever had, which was about 15 or 20 sessions of every run out goes to death. I didn't know this streak was possible but I was due for it after obscene extended heater almsot 5 years (part time play).

I think I know what your problem was for that 2 1/2 years.

Spoiler:
You forgot how to fold rivers

I'll break the hand down for you tomorrow. I'll type up a response to this hand sometime in the evening. However, when I started typing out my response to this hand, the post ended up being like 4 pages long. It turned into an overall strategy post and how to make ranges and the theory behind it. It was also super long because I gave my logic and reasoning on why you would do "A" here as opposed to "B" or "C..." But I gave the theorem behind A,B,C and yada, yada, yada...

When I try and give advise on a hand I try to shy away from "you did this right" or "do this instead" or "i would have done this" and leave it at that.

I'm more concerned with the posters overall strat and thought process and their understanding of the spots they are in. So when I initially read this I wanted to find a way to teach the poster how to create ranges for different spots so they can do it themselves and not simply give him/her a range ya know?

It's more important that OP knows how to create these ranges himself/herself so they can do it in the future but also so they can practice and get familiar with them so they become second nature.

If I were to post my initial response, I would would just do it in a different post and refer you too it. Nah mean?

Like I said, I'll type up a response hopefully tomorrow and it'll be more geared towards this hand in particular and less about overall strat and and the supporting theorem and math. I don't want this hand to get lost in translation, so I'll give a more watered down synopsis.

Some people just love action, and, I love them for loving action.

I've seen this. They bluff a lot as well as overplaying marginal hands. Get into serious station mode. They're leaving soon and can't be arsed to wait to pick up the goods.
