Hey all, i've been playing 2 years now. Had 4 Losing months in those 2 years which i see as reasonable variance.
I've only ever put 40$ into online poker at the start of those 2 years. I can't remember winrates, anyone with pokeroffice knows how much u have to reinstall etc etc i.e. lose stats.
All regular winning players i'm sure get to a stage in bad variance where they question their game, its just natural. The last 2 months i have been using the SSNL topics and making notes and applying them to my game also reducing my tables to 6. I know therefore my game has improved alot.
The last 42k hands i am down 30 BI over various limits. I don't really tilt, and stop playing if i lose more than 5 or so buyins.
I've just switched from stars to ipoker last 7k hands. Anyone on ipoker knows how nitty its got, therefore ive loosened up to pick off more pots which could result in higher variance for the past 7k. But its the only thing i can think of.
You are going to get very few substantive replies here.
However, 30 buy-ins a lot to write off to variance. I am not saying that it isn't possible, but it does point to a problem.
Review your sessions.
See if there is any way you could have played the big pots differently.
Drop down a level or 2 to regain your confidence.
Make sure that you are plenty rolled for any level you play at.
Take a week or so off and clear your mind by doing everything but playing poker.
