If you were down $30,000 ten years ago when poker was soft as fk, I'd say you more likely to be bankrupt then supposedly up money. I'd put money on you being down like $500,000 and that your just trying to chase your losses in the big games.

That would be spectacular.

A special version of Shuffle Master could be used to deal out fixed starting hands that are varying amounts of -EV to players and let them bet as high of a multiple as they want up to table limit. The board would be a random fair shuffle. Hands as little as 2.5-5% house edge to as much as 25%. And side bets of 10-20% house edge.

Or more likely, some payout rules where the play bet doesn't pay if dealer doesn't qualify with a minimum hand ranking like 3 of a kind using hole cards.

The degens would be completely hooked due to high variance and the house would absolutely kill it.

OTOH, in practice it might be an excruciatingly slow and unprofitable game to deal as most table game dealers (and casual players betting $15) are noobs and will take forever to identify hands and determine win/loss like PaiGow Poker dealers who take 15+ seconds to identify trivial hands and even longer to mis-set a hand with a joker.

could make it just like pai gow. sidebet for stuff like aakkds/dealt quads/flopping quads or SF. progressive royal hits when the dealer has quads or better.

How would the game be played? Why would you design a game to deal out extra cards in the hand only to resolve a bonus bet? Makes no sense and would confuse the **** out of people

haven't a clue. i'm just a big fan of pai gow, and i like witnessing action.

each street the dealer reveals another card. if the whole table (3 or more) beat the dealer another bonus could be paid.

I like the idea. Looooove UTH. Became the only game I actually enjoyed dealing. Pai gow has potential, depending on the punters.
