Played my last turbo ever at Parx casino in PA yesterday. In the last 4 months i have played 5 tournaments at that casino and busted all 5. The Borgata is holding their Summer open which basically prices me out for the month of July so Parx is usually the only alternative for morning tournaments. I have come to realize the $80 dailys with no GTD prize pool and horrible structure is not worth my time and effort. Actually i will say this about Parx. They are never shorthanded when it comes to these events.

They always manage to fill up 6 or 7 tables creating a prize pool of 8 spots for their daily nightly tournaments. On Sundays they pay out even more . Does not strike me as the type of casino that is struggling or will go out of biz anytime soon like the casinos in AC. No real complaints at the table Staff is friendly so are the players .You can tell right off the bat the huge difference in hospitality between NJ and PA . A few things to share. Older guy early to mid 70's mentioned something about Neil Armstrong moon landing anniversary. The dealer who was one hot looking chick seemed interested but as she was dealing out the cards he says "wait ill tell you the story"
From her quick expression which was an easy tell , i got the impression she was being polite but had no interest in hearing the entire story. Then i glanced at his stack and realized he was probably sharing the story because he was somewhat deepstacked. I came within one breath of saying "Are you sharing the Armstrong story cause your chip leader"? I thought for a second and said to myself "he seems like a good guy better i keep my sarcastic mouth shut" . I did learn something during the process even if her expression or his story telling had no relevance to how i played my hand or anyone else's. What i picked up on is that Mike Caro and Zach Ellwood are on the money with their poker tells. If you pay attention to facial expressions you might go far at the poker table The other thing i thought i would share

The guy directly to my left was obviously new or had no idea what he was doing. He probably had the basics down but thats where it ended. When he had a premium hand he would bet $10k pre when blinds were $100 $200 prompting a few snickers from players at the table. Ironically he busted me midway when i had 8BB left blinds at $4 $8 . I was basically card dead throughout and was so disgusted that i shoved with K10 suited to his pocket 8's . No more parx Nice place but i wouldnt want to gamble there

hellofaplaya44. Thats the type of user name some kid would have picked back in 2002 when the internet was first taking of. Like thats a hotmail email right there lol.

Some 13 year old kid back in the day sat down the same as you and typed in "hellofaplaya44@hotmail.com"

I say this because people have learned the internet now and nobody would make sure a dumb cringe name.

You ever thought about playing online and taking a step back from the grubby live grind?

ACR seems like a pretty good site and they have well structured tourneys (unlike live hyper crack head donkaments).

Jokes aside maybe online will be better for you.

You seem to have a decent insight about poker and seem to be a good player so maybe you should think applying for the ACR Pro Competition?

Think it might keep you interested in the game and make poker more fun again!

I think Labax's suggestion is an excellent one. We need more 'personality site pros' especially if they're a little unhinged to add extra colour

I have accounts with PS ACR WSOP but rarely use them. Since im in Jersey its more like a fake PS because i can only play within the Jersey pool instead of playing with the entire US and foreign soil. Bottom line not much of a tournament selection with the fake PS. I tried the online thing dont care for it it maybe because i never won anything playing online or maybe i hate clicking buttons and not interacting with real people like most of the introverts that live their life online.

Ah yeah I have no experience with PSNJ.

ACR seems cool and whilst a lot of people are introverts I think it would be cool to see someone in the online spotlight who came from live to online instead of the other way around.

If you're passionate about poker I'd apply for the contest, ACR are one of the sites that could really keep growing and having someone with a more interesting background such as yourself as a pro could do them wonders.

In my eyes you're a good candidate!

I cannot put a percentage of players making the live transition to online but the majority of players especially middle aged and older i asked at local casinos in AC over the last few years either blew off my question as though why do you even ask or gave me a flat out no.

What is it you are saying? Is the buy in a lot or is it a "cheap turbo"?
