It's just something that isn't done. We've given you a really easy way of sorting out the issue (from what I believe it's to remove a few references in a few posts that could identify you, or others, in real life).

I think OP clearly wants to do a lot more then make minor changes, possibly he wants to delete posts made by others in the thread. There's no other reason why he would kick up such a stink about it.
