Dropped 1k playing 2/5 NL which put me at 4k BR. I refuse to move down to 1/2NLeven though I prolly should.

So I get in a car to drive home and get this brilliant degen idea, take 1.5k and put it on RED. I love reading degen stories in BBV so I decide to give it a shot!

While walking to casino, I am telling myself, if you double up, you put it on RED again.

So I walk into gaming room for the first time, walked up to cashier to get chips as I find out...Dumby...you get them at the table...doh.

So I walked around roulette tables to see what it is all about I have never done roullette...to make boring story short...I put 1.5k on red, it hit, I put 2k on red...it hit...I take 5k and go back to poker room. Ballin!

Always wanted to try 10/10 NL and had an hour left to play, feeling like a BAUS bought into 10/10 for 2k.

So I sit at the table, win few hands here and there 600+.

Cliffs,

-1k in 3 hours grinding 2/5 nl and getting coolered.
+3.5k twice in a row on RED.
+600 40 minutes playing 10/10 NL for first time.

Got decent roll to keep playing 2/5

Think most people are pretty happy when there just back to even after losing alot, weird that you would bet again after winning.

because this is classic losers tilt, i used to do it all the time, i would lose like one buy in, steam and play a hyper turbo to win it back, sometimes id win but most times i blow through a bank roll just trying to win my initial amount. I ended up banning myself from hypers

but as your forrced to play live, guessing your ammerican, its going to be a lot harder for you to avoid the temptation to hit that wheel when you next lose.

OP don't ever, ever play roulette again or I will haunt your dreams.

First time around it didn't turn into a degen story...had a good potential.

I didn't go and try to win money back, I went and did it cause because my roll was between 1/2 NL and 2/5 NL, and 1/2 is ****ing brutal to play after playing 2/5 for past half a year. I have lost more than 1k on several occasions and won a lot more than 1k as well, so I didn't go back to just win 1k back...I just wanted to do it cause everyone else does it . If I wanted to win 1k back that is all I would bet, I decided if I m going to gamble might as well make it memorable somewhat...

However poker did contribute to me dropping out of college my freshman year (03') and having to work 2 jobs for next 5 years until I went back to college again, right now I have a year to go until graduation!

Obviously right now I am thinking/saying I will never do it again. So whether I will is going to be my true degen test, I will let you guys know either way!

It went wrong by going right for the OP. Degen stories are supposed to go wrong and end badly, so by ending good for the Op it's actually wrong.
