Long time lurker (we miss you Snipes) but I wanted to share my story from the last week. Plenty of crazy degen stories have happened but this one is fresh and I havent shared with anyone.

On the 16th I wanted to play some poker so I made a deposit of 2k. My crazy degen thought process is I'll just play 10/20nl until im 350 in profit and then i have the few MTT's I want to play on sunday. I end up playing and going on a heater and by the time in done I have 8k and am feeling on top of the world. Now I just need to cash out....but I still want to play some MTT's but I also want to cash out a round 8k....Welll I lost it all back on Tuesday morning. I was so ****ing heated and pissed off at myself. I've blown stacks but this one was extra dumb.

A couple days pass and March Madness has started. Im still donkey tilted and deposit $500 and want to hit a parlay and get back my initial deposit from 5 days before. I bet LSU (which was an insane game), Michigan, and Kentuck (who covered in the closing seconds) and booom I have $2100 in my account. But I am set on getting to 3k. So time to look at more games but wasnt finding a good option.

I ended up landing on a parlay for 2k (max) with one game from Saturday night which was Purdue -4 and then waiting for the Sunday games to do money line action on UNC, Duke (should have lost like 5 times), and Oregon. I magically won both props and I'm currently waiting on $7650 cashout. So $150 up since I went on donkey tilt. Absolutely crazy week of ups and downs.

Is it just me or when a read seven story from someone aged 16-25 it not seven as they are so young that it is more like I night out then being degen as they have all that time ahead of them that I just.feel jealous of them. Unless less your 35 upwards I don't class them as degens.

Am 43 and have never taken a day of from gambling and drugs since I was 14. I believe any one who says they are or were degen . What meant was when your young you have time on your side to make money get skills, when still being degen when in late 30s upwards it is game over.

Snipes was the one who killed the thread because when he ran out of money, and mortgaged his parents house from underneath them while soiling their credit, he no longer could post his stories about how he drove around to gas stations buying credit cards with other credit cards.

It's all a big blur really from where I left off. So much happened but not much has changed so there's no point. When it ends for good I'll summarize it sure but right now I would need to set aside half a day just to remember and piece things together. Plus I just don't feel like reliving the past..I'm happy to be where I am at this moment because it could've been worse. Also I am just tired of being miserable and am looking forward to improving my life. I think a few of you were right..no point in journaling a miserable degen cycle.

All of this is false. And just to clear some things up:

1) never got mortgaged never will.

2) Credit never soiled and never will be soiled.

3) Still drive around gas stations

4) I stopped because it was draining and made no point. Not for me or anyone reading this. You could feel it.
