hit the withdraw, £2K max - so do 2 withdraws £2K & £1400...... didnt realise they stay on the screen for 24 hours. so when I come back online the next morning - bust the£300 in my account then see the withdraws still there, 200-400 at a time finally realised only 750 left. turned the laptop off & left it 2 days to make sure the withdraw went through

I was at my best friend's wedding and another close friend who was there is a huge gambler. So we held a draft of girls we felt would catch the bouquet on the toss. We each got three girls and held the draft "snake style" and decided to put up $100. Not exactly a HUGE degen story but needless to say it made it damn interesting. It was kinda funny because he went with girls he felt "were the most desperate" while I went with one giraffe looking girl and two fatties.

Easy $100 that night.

I help a guy run a game and one of the regs. (that's been unemployed for 6 mos.) sits at the table and says he can't stay long. When i ask why, he says he is going to a gambler anomynous meeting in a couple hours. He explains that his wife is making him go because they are about ready to lose their house because he gambles away his unemployment check every week at our game; and he's been cashing out his 401K and what funds he had to live on. He busts out in time to go to his meeting and we don't see him for 2 weeks. When he makes it back, 2 weeks later, he goes on a heater for about 3 hours and has 3K in front of him. He is sooo happy.. laughing and joking at the table. We laugh with him, telling him how much GA helped his game. I pull him off to the side and tell him he should cash out, that he could make good use of that money. He says he is going to play for another hour or so. He proceeds to spew away all of his chips for the next hour and we all feel so sick for him. He goes busto and stands up from the table, looks at me and says f*** you and your game and leaves. Pretty sick to watch him laughing and talking about how much he needed to post a good win and how much the money meant to him to absolute zero in a little over an hour. Haven't seen him since and confirmed that he moved and lost his house.

lol. Reading this I feel like on some level, I have a lot in common with this guy. I feel his pain. hahahaha

started playing superturbos NLHE using martingale strategy of doubling up after every loss, got up to 4k from initial bankroll of 3500$~ish (this was from grinding razz HU sngs) ending up losing about 1.5k when i lose 8 160s in a row, had about 2.5k at this point and spent another 1.2k on staking (800$ already gone from unsuccessful stakes) was at 1.3k or so, played a ftops and lose it so down to 1k, grinded it up to about 2k or so in a week from razz sngs, ended up playing yet again the superturbos, this time the razz superturbos and ended up tilting half my roll away and now im back to 1k. probably going to try a 550$ husng later and stop playing superturbos for sure if i lose or win

any story with "martingale"...has a bad ending. i suppose EVERY story in this thread has a bad ending tho.

well i won the 550 and am now only down 600$ for the day. the person i was playing was pretty terrible but i decided not to push my luck

Suddenly dropping 2.5k doesn't seem so bad. I make that in two weeks at a ****ty job. One thing I've learned is emotion and bankroll management are the two most important things you need to manage

I pretty much lost everything in my life. I'm probably and sadly one of the biggest degen ever... maybe one day i'll tell my story...

not sure why but i find this extremely depressing.

the essence of a degenstory:

1)The revelation of the degen
The degen could live in happiness so easily, luck has manouvered him into a position almost nothing can go wrong. But he somehow cant bear his fortune, so he needs to destroy it and does so quite effectively.
2)The rise and fall of the degen
The degen is degening until his degenaracy has reached a power that almost seems Baller. But as he nearly reaches success he collapses like a house of cards as he has a intense commitment to failure.

I want to share an indic fable with you, which is a story from category 1). It is about a King who has everything a man can ever want. Women, might, magic and wealth. He loves to shoot dice as he feels the gods show him their sympathy when he is winning, and so far he is winning often, because a goddess loves him. One day a demon approaches the royal court and offers the king a giant diamond to win, if the king is laying his kingdom against it. The king doesnt know that the demon defeated his tutelary god and so he loses his hole kingdom in one cast of dice. He is outcasted and has to live in the jungle for a decade.

Losing his kingdom like this without any necessity is pretty degen i guess.

a few years ago when i lived in portland, there was these plasma banks that would give $30 for donations (but u could only do it twice a week) well my friends and i went through and did it. we all had thirty bucks. we b lined it to the casino about 45 min away. car is on empty but we aint putin in on petro, we wanna gamble. so we get to the casino (feeling a little faint from the blood loss and immediate weed smoking after giving blood) we all sit down at the $5 min blackjack table. i got mine up $120 and scooted over to the 1-2 game. my friends stayed at the bj table and proceeded to win about $500 a piece. apparently they had a good shoe and only lost 1 bet a piece ( i kno i kno they could have won way more but theyre pussies and bet the min) they have a seat at the 1-2 game im in. i was down to $100. they both buy in for $200. after 1 hr, i have nearly $500 myself after bad beating the **** outta my 1 friend and gettin it allin pre with aa vs my friend kk. so they say *** this and go over to theyre bj table and lose theyre remaining $300. they were pissed and ready to go.

meanwhile im havin a great time with $600 plus at the 1/2 table. while theyre standing behind me all pissed off and red faced saying cmon lets go.

neway i put some gas in the car and we went home. i gave them both $25 to deposit on ftp. one of my friends has about 1.2k in his acct and the other has about $500. all off of this plasma we gave for $30 bucks.

as for me, i deposited $25 on ftp and got it up to 1.9k and now im down to $589.
