It took me a moment to sift through that nonsensical babble. The point being, Singasong, when you're playing poorly you're not "due" to play well. Golf is one of the most humbling, mentally challenging sports that exists, as it's not based on continuous motion. I.E. plenty of time to think about what's going wrong/ try and self correct. As such, breaking out of a period of poor play in golf is arguably more difficult than any other sport.

We have a friend in our group who is perpetually broke. Not always from gambling he's just... always broke.

We don't mind he's always the one going on booze runs, staying sober to drive us to and from casinos/wherever. Toss him a $20 when we're winning, etc. One time none of us would 'lend' (it was always a gift, you had to pray he won to get paid back) him any money. Then he asked what we'd pay for a pair of beats headphones, brand new. I don't particularly like beats headphones, but I offered him $40 for one of those $200 pairs kinda half jokingly.

What does this mf do? Drives ten mins away to the nearest walmart or some****, and somehow steals a pair. I don't know how, those are always locked the fk down. True to my word, I give him the $40. He goes to roulette, all in on black. Wins. Goes to a video blackjack machine with weird side bets.

The biggest side bet is when you and the dealer both get QK suited. It pays 1000 to 1 on your bet. The max bet on it is $20 I believe.

I'm not sure how he was betting at first, but a few mins later I hear screaming and hollering, wouldn't you know it. He had $20 on the royal match side bet, $50 on the regular hand, and $20 on some other suit match side bet. This mother****er went from dead broke to over $20,000 in a span of ~30-40 mins? That's including the drive to steal the fkn things, lol.

He was broke again the next night. Bought a suite at an upscale hotel the night he won, and we all went hard. He probably spent like $2,500 on room service alone. In the morning he bought a day 2 party suit and threw his old clothes away. By the end of the night he had dumped the rest back to the casino. He asked me for a $10-spot to make it a fair trade for the headphones. He said he gave them to me too cheap, lol.

I repeated a smaller bet, and it came 22 again. At that point I decided it was party time. Our ghetto casino closes at 2 am, and when we left I wanted to gamble again.

I decided to sports bet, something I almost never do. I'm the biggest sports betting fish in the world, I swear. I feel like my picks have straight up been 25%. The last thing I fired hard on were the falcons in 2016 I think. Whichever year they blew like a 25 pt lead.

Aaaanyways, I'm looking at sports and nothing is coming up RIGHT now. The only thing going soon is all soccer. I've never watched a game in my life, and this is the night I decide to make a $1500 parlay on 4 teams. I told my drunken friend to pick all 4 of the teams. He made his picks, and I couldn't pronounce half these names lol, I don't think it was one of the big leagues. He picked three underdogs, it was a $29,600 win.

The first three games were happening relatively soon, and the fourth game was happening at 4 pm, my time. Perfect, I can pass out drunk. My friends all taxi home and I pass the hell out.

I wake up around 3:30, and my hopes aren't high at all. I check in... and the first three teams have won, and the fourth game is greyed out. Well it hasn't started yet. I call Mike and I'm freaking out, I tell him our drunk asses got ourselves a $30,000 sweat today at 4 pm. I tell him if I win we're straight up flying to Vegas and I'm giving him $7,000 for picking the teams. He's freaking out. I google the team to find out where I can watch the game, and I am instantly confused. It said my team lost 2-0. This can't be, the game doesn't start for half an hour.

And then I realized it was eastern time, the game ended just before I woke up, and they got stomped. The match was greyed out on my bet slip because they lost, not because it didn't start like I thought. I was so, so sad... I had to call Mike and let him know they lost before I even made the phone call.
