Hey,
I have some storys to tell, first one played out around 2005. Me and my friend had really started to build up a roll, the thing was i wasnt in on the roll procent wise, he had started off building on ladbrokes and were in the 10-15k range.
I remember this very well becuse this was my first real encounter with some highstakes action.
My friend was still a hardworker and had to go up every morning 0500, i on the other side had much sparetime as i didnt have a job. This particular night he tilted pretty bad playing $10/20 NL 6 max and $15/30 NL 6max (keep in mind that $25/50 NL were the highest levels, so this was pretty high stakes), he was down $9k leaving about $6-7k on the account. When we looked at the watch the time said 0100 and he is a bit of a sleeper and had to go to bed, he asked me if i wanted to take over and repair, offcourse i agreed and got $1.500 usd on a $15/30 NL 6 max to work with.
Back then it was really different playing those stakes, it was crazy loose and aggrasive play, i dont recall to many hands besides one that dubbled me up in the beginning and the last one. The one that took me up to around $4k - i grinded up pretty easy to $2.5k small potts and then my first hard decision came i held AK and we had preflopped it pretty hard, i know there was a low straight draw and a flush draw out there something like 4

with the turn J
and river 2
, on the river i had like 1k left and the guy shipped his stack wich put me all in. I remember that the only thing i had to figure out and fast (there where no time banks) was if he had the pair or if he went on flush or straight draw, i had a gut feeling telling me he held a higher straigh draw than the straight card that hit the river, With about 2 seconds to spare i made the call and was very happy to see the stack showed my way i now had 4-5k stack.
This was just the start of the night and im sorry i dont recall all specifics about other hands, but it was pretty much like this, hyper aggro shipping game were low points was around 7k and high around 15k. At the end of the night around 0430 just 30 minuts before my friend had to go up the following scenario plays out- We are four big stacks and two new stacks at the table something like-
Me: 15-17k
Bigstack: 22k
Bickstack2: 15k
and two persons that had around 2.000-3.000 a pice. This hand i danced with both of the big stacks, and this night everything had gone with me not against me so my self esteem was pretty high up. I was dealt 10

and was in the big blind, the button 22k dude made it $150 15k dude in small blind called, i was pretty sure i had the best hand becuse the $150 raises preflop were pretty standard, i thought about calling but went with the option to raise. I made it $750 and now button started to think and the thought a long time, to my suprise he made a reraise wich made the preflop bet a total of 1.500, my first thought was to throw away but to my suprise small blind made a call. Now i knew i was beat or in really bad shape preflop, but i couldnt help myself and thought about what an enormus pot we would play for so i also made the call.

Now this was staggaring i felt my neck were about to expload from the puls, the small blind started with a check and i insta checked behind hoping for a continuation bet from the big stack, buttom or mr.22k thought for some time before making it 3.800, now i had trubble breathing becuse of the extrem amounts of blod pumping in a high speed true my body (best drug in da world?). And once again to my suprise small blind wanted to dance as well with a insta call making the pot around 12k, my first instinct was that i were going to shove it felt absolutly like the best play here becuse i was certan mr.22k had the aces, so thats wath i did. After the 3800 i think it was 12-13k extra for them to call almost covering the button, almost as i got my money in i saw that mr.22k had called. Now i really wanted the small blind to fold here, thinking that going against to outs is quit enought (now days im happy if the other guy have "just" 10 outs as i play omaha), to my relive small blind choose to fold.
TURN
J
remember that i didnt like that card, if he had kings he got more outs, but i was still 99,99 procent that he had the aces.
RIVER
Q
Now that one really sucked as a river card, almost every combinations of higher cards exept the acses would crush me. And i was shocked when i saw hes hand of Q
Q
, i mean this will hunt me for the rest of my life, he just had to be drunk to make that play on the flop?
The pot ended around $37k and i saw him sitting out with over $40k around 42-43k, hmmmm not bad for a 4 hour $15/30 session
.
*These were the days and it was so diffrent from the games played to day, sadly things like this really hook you to the game
Hope you guys enjoy the read, there will be more like this one on degensweed.blogg.se were im intending to rebuild a roll pretty soon and keep good updates.
