ok so i have just created an account to post a few of my stories, im not a writer so just deal with any grammar mistakes!
to start at the beginning i have always had a fascination with gambling and betting as a child we used spread out a deck of cards and take turns pulling one card each and the winner was the first person to pull the queen of spades and they would scoop the pot (normally a collection of toys that we were betting as we were only 7-8 and money was hard to come by at that age).
so here are some of my more degen moments that i can think of off hand.....
1. I started getting really heavily into gambling when i was 18 and i was working in a call center selling phoe and internet connections, pulling down about $500 a weekish, at the same time i moved into my first flat with a group of mates from school. the first week that i moved in on payday me and a guy that i worked with went to the pub for lunch ended up sitting down at the slot machines draining my whole paycheck in about 20 mins flat, compleaty ****ed for food for the week bus money and my first weeks rent, having just moved in a few days prior i didnt really want to tell my friends that i couldnt pay rent because i had punted it all away in the pokies, so i decided to call good old mummy to see if she could help me out of a tight spot, i called her and told her that there had been a bank error and they couldnt pay me till the next day and if she could float me so money for rent...she flat out refused ..... ****... fully thought i was screwed then my mate from work suggested that i call the bank and get a temporary overdraft till next week so i did and they approved it for $300!! score i now how enough to pay rent and food finished of the day at work as i was walking to the bus exchange passed the casino lost the $300 and had to go tell my flatmates that i couldnt pay rent because i had a gambling problem lol.
2. When i was about 20 i was at my mates house waiting for them to get home and i had just started to get into a bit of online gmabling on casinos i was playing on paddypower i think at this point and i thought that why i was waiting i would fire up the lap top and depo $50 bucks and have a punt. i ended up running it up to about $300 playing BJ then swaped to slots, hit the free spins in this jack and the beanstalk game got the max keys that gave you these revolving wilds, won like $1200 from the free spins and then my mates game home (also all massive degens not the ones i live with) and were blown away at how much i had won was the biggest win any of us had hit procced to run it up to about 6k also this was in euros on this site and where i live it exchanged to about 13,500k a huge amount of money more than any of us had ever had so they convinced me that i had to take it out so i hit the withdraw button but my account wasnt verified i had to scan my drivers lisance to them, now i didnt have a scanner so i gave my lisance to my mate so he could do it at work, they were worried that i would punt it all when i got home but the girlfriend that i had at the time hated me gambling becuase she know that i had a problem so i told them there was no way that i could, queue next morning, was taking the morning **** before work loaded up the site online proceeded to lose $6000 in about 6 mins flat lol
3. quite a few of me amd my mates started getting into poker in a big way and were palying almost every night on stars for real low stakes and we all railed each other i decided to take a shot at the $15 180 man sng that used to run all the time on stars, ended up binking it and pulling in like $740 or something, the convinced me that i had to sit done at a 2 and 4 table, the highest that any of us had ever played sat down with a full buying and ran like a god running it up to $2500 and thought i was the best poker player ever. so had almost 3k bank roll, got real drunk the next night sat down at a 5 10 table lost the 3 buyins funniest had of the night i was in the co 3x the blinds with 87 bb raises to $60 i 4 bet ti $180 he open shoves with AA and i called it off with 87, i was super bad back then hahahaha
4. this is the one that hurts my soul the most, i was at work and i used to load up the online casinos about an hour before i knocked off as it was normally pretty quite for me, and a few of the boys from work were sitting railing me, i was playing at jackpot city now as i had banned my self from playing on paddy power, deposited $20 with a 100 percent match so had $40 had an hour till the end of work and ran it up to $1000 before 5.30 the guys at work weren't gamblers so they were pretty impressed, went home and fired up the laptop to keep playing until my girlfriend came over (different one from the second story) she also knew that i was a massive degen and would have killed me if she saw me gambling online i had about 1 and a half hours till she got home was playing multi hand black jack playing 3 hands at $100 a hand and ran it up to $5000k she comes over we watch a movie all good im in a great mood cause i have just won 5k all is well, time for a shower i told her and went and had a shower but i took my phone with me and was playing BJ on my phone, the app on my phone didnt have the option for multi hand blackjack so i played 1 handed but was betting the back $1000 per hand to try win as much as i could becuase i only had limited time, ended up running it up to 18,000 sooo sick, i must have come out of the shower looking like i had just had the greatest wank of all time! went to bed and then i woke up at 2am with the misses fast asleep thinking to my self ill just play a couple of hands of blackjack and get it to 20k and cash out 2.09am account balance at 0.
so thats my stories many more as well but just a few of the ones that stand out, still love a punt weeeee bit more self controlled as just brought a house with the girl from the last story so alls well that ends well
