anyways, it was my last year @ school, so i maybe should've learned for exams instead of gambling, whatever.
in november '15 i turned 18 and was already making a decent amount of money for a school kid (i traded a lot and easily made 500€ a month) while having no living costs at all, which was pretty decent being freshly 18 and still at high school.
so i got my first credit card and they instantly gave me a 2,5k limit, which happened pretty likely that the bank checked my parents credit record and saw they were not poor at all.
so i started depositing few hundos at stars with my CC and donk it off on BJ / Spin & Go's.
Started going to the casino with friends and i pretty fastly raised my stakes, like in the beginning we would go there with 50-80€ each, a month later i'd gamble with 200-400€ a visit, which kinda shocked my friends, who had no credit card and therefor no money flow, they betted like 4€ a hand of black jack while i was betting 30 back then.
in like february i was down 1500€ on my CC (after a 2,5k cashout @ stars lol) and had no idea how to pay it, so i went to casino with 400€ play slots betting 2€. suddenly got a 1000x jackpot for 2k, went home happy af, paid my credit card and told myself never to gamble again.
well, 2 weeks later i continued playing on stars and going to the casino again.
so being a degen i always deposited 100$ (sometimes 6 times in a row lol) and run it up playing 100$ spin & gos, was up to like 2,6k and life was nice again. had some huges swings playing 200$ BJ hands with that BR (on stars app during math classes), was down to 400 at one point, up to 4k, then was like *** it lesson is over, i got 2,4k lets quit. wasnt that much into poker yet and the biggest fish possible.
at the weekend i came home drunk at 3am and told myself to play 1 30$ spin b4 sleep. hit a 10x, lost that after being a 10:1 dog which tilted me, idk how but i got into NL500 and lasted like 15 min before i found myself broke. credit card was maxed out in march, but i knew if i waited for next month the limit would be emptied, so i could gamble for 3-4 days with 2,5k until the bank tried to pay my credit card bill from my bank account (limit 500 maxed out already).
so i went to the casino on 31. of march to be able to withdraw money after midnight.
somehow messed up 1k (daily limit) that night on black jack.
punted another 600 on stars and i was left with like 900 to gamble with.
meanwhile my parents knew i was going to the casino sometimes, they tought i'd pay 30€ tourneys then go home.
went to the casino with the 900 and told myself to get it up to 5k or nothing to be able to pay my bills.
somehow i punted 200 on slots and went to black jack.
minimum was like 5 and max 200 at this table, i bought in for 300€.
i ran insanely good and got a 1k stack really fast, while betting maximum.
other people would bet 5-20€ and looked at me really jelous.
i grinded up to 2k when thew floor told me they open another table for me, where i was alone with a really cool young dealer guy.
started betting 500€ while i had like 4 casino employees watching me (betting this high was really uncommon in my local casino).
ran like a god, got to 5k, flipped the dealer a hundo tip, cashed out, tipped the cage guy 20, went down and bought a ***** casino hoodie (which has like WSOP on it and looks cool but i mean who wears casino hoodies) for 40€. took a taxi home (i never use taxis, i'd go on public transport with lots of cash money usefully) and life was good again.
this was the first time i told my parents i was 5k in debts but binked a big tourney and won 5k so i could pay it off, they were disappointed, but i told them not to gamble anymore.
this was april '16, right before my final exams.
couple weeks later i'd gamble again, maxing out my limit again.
never learned for any exam, came 50 minutes late to math finals because i was tired after a night of poker.
anyways, my grades were not bad, but could've been excellent. i was just lazy, never made homeworks, came always late and didnt learn at all.
however i passed with avg grades and got a decent diploma.
after finishing high school, i got nothing to do, so i cashed out my fresh 2,5k limit again and grinded 1/1 live poker every single day for one month, while my parents thought i was staying at a friend. had decent results, but donked it off to slots / bj.
in my local casino half of the regs liked me, other half hated me because i was a table talker and tilted a lot of people with trash talk.
so 2 months later i was stuck 5k again, broke, bank freezed my card.
made lots of bad decisions (like 2 useless phone contracts who got me cash 700€ the day i signed the contracts but would cost me 3k in total for total of 2 years.)
paypal was down up to 2k.
pawned & sold lots of valuable stuff i had.
continued being broke af, got some bad paying jobs (like 6€ / h illegal work) and punting my daily cash at the casino.
so i applied to university, a really nice university accepted me for econ, silly me forgot to send in all the docs in time, 1 week late i called the uni telling them my grandmother died and i needed to visit her, had no time at all and was so sorry, they were like "nope".
so my family was so proud of me going to study, so i needed to come up with something.
literally the last day possible i signed up for computational science (no numerus clausus) and told my parents i wanted to do this instead.
went 4 times to classes, then my grandmother died (i got called during class and was in shock, crying. i never cried). booked a flight at next day 6am to her, because she was going to get buried the day.
being a degen i am i went to the casino at 8pm, played poker, got out at 3am to go to the airport to see her getting buried. stayed with greater family for 3 days, took a flight back to an airport 200km from me (because cheaper), landed at 10pm, went to the local casino, took train back home at 4am.
so my grandma died, i was broke again, it's october now, i didn't go to uni anymore because i needed to work to pay my debts.
told my parents i'm in debts again for about 14k, went to GA, they banned me from all national casinos,
got a fulltime work paying me 1,8k a month (1,3 after taxes).
still staying at parents, working until no more debts left (around 1,5 years left).
