havent gambled in almost 8 weeks now. I've decided to buy a rolex to celebrate not playing -EV games anymore. will post pics later once i decide which one i will buy. I know that sounds crazy, but i always wanted one and love watches. With the cash i'll save from stopping gambling, i could afford one. Then it will remind me each time i look at it, DONT go back to that degen life! Sure it was fun, I posted many little stories of donking off 1000-2000 in a day, but it took many many thousands from me over past 10 years that i now realize could have been invested, bought many things i like, traveling or other pursuits of happiness.
I quit and thank god i feel less desire each day to go gambling!

A thread that was once great that's on its last life

Celebrated my 1 year clean and sober this weekend. Some of my friends took me out to the spearmint rhino (strip club) where i got swayed into banging this stripper for $700. She was probably 75%plastic. Could have easily went the backpage route and saved $500 but i was in the "here and now" state of mind. left there, went to the kennel where i proceeded to blast off another $700 in a $2/5 game. Somehow managed to do this all while being sober so i guess im not that better off after all. FML
