Yeah, would call out BS on reading it from someone else. Probably the sickest thing in my gambling career. Though my 1k to 100k sportsbetting/casino run I had in the past still feels sicker as I could not lose for about a month. That was more sustained compared to all this happening so fast. During that run I realised I need to calm down as I placed a 10k bet on Player at one point.

After feeling that kind of rush, it is difficult to play "normally".

Is it bad that I kinda get mad when these degen stories end with wins?

Hehe, I personally prefer the stories where against all odds the degen makes it out alive. Too depressing with the lost it all and have to eat noodles until the next pay day.

Every time I read one of these stories I have the same thought! I smoke too much in college, oh well. For a degen like me, a short memory is not a bad thing.

I have a great memory for things like that, but that's beyond me. Makes me question the legitimacy of the story.

I've never remembered exact details of my degen sprees and never claimed to do so.

Tbh it's rather difficult as they have always involved various forms of intoxication. But more power to the guy if the story is legit. Care to share any more degen?

but the first I wanted to put $1000 on red, i lost.
uber tilt, so i put $50, 000 on a football game, borrowing the $3000 from a loan shark.

If this is true not only is it a degen story but it is a pure stupidity story . Ya sorry guys I am all for degen and I have a lot of experience but this is just downright stupid I hope the loan shark takes 3 fingers

Ok, I add another story of mine from my degen life.

So after my time in London I move in Euroland for a new exiting well paid job, thanks to my degency I had to borrow some money for the move to find a new place (just to give you the idea that I was still broke as usual not matter my wage in UK).
I move in and start working and earnong good while keep the degen in me under controll, which means no delay on rent, always money in my pocket and stay out of the casino while playing only poker live and online with just few 100s waste on slots.
Been on this job for over two year and managed to bring my poker br up to 7K again (online and live), buy a nice new car and save money for around 40K circa. So life was good and happy and all seems to move forward to the impression that degency was an old past habit.

After two years I received a proposal for a job in malta and I fly over for 4 days to check out the new company and discuss the usual stuff. Here is when the evil degen trick come out again.
After dinner and lots of wine the all group decides to go at the casino, I say yes (is been long) and bring with me 1500 circa to have a nice night drinking and gamibling. As soon as we go in, I can feel the pressure already, I hit the roulette table and in 5-6 spins I'm already down to 700 more or less. I remember the feeling of being in controll at this point and thinking not big deal if I lose them all and bang!!! right at this point myluck changes and I hit 4 spins in a row 10-11-10-11 two of my better number of roulette (I play the uk one and always tier and some orphalins).
From those win in a row it is been a dream night come true, I could not miss a spin, hittting everything betting 300 or 400 per spin going for around two hours missing at most 2 spins. So it is like 40 spins on the same side of the wheel, the game was dealing slow as I was pressing with color chips of 1 euro, 200 pieces at spin plus the call bets, with massive calculation by the dealer every time.
Just to give the idea how good it was:
1. I had the security pointing at me some kind of phone with red light to check if I had any device or some sort of technical citing device
2. The pitboss was keep telling the dealer to spin just on the other side and at some point the dealer broke down shouting at him "I know!!! leave me alone!!!! while I was drunk next to her singing you cannot change you cannot change

The night goes by and I'm back at my room with 14K and a smile that lighted the all sea view. As experience degen I knoew this win would have bring out just the bad side of my degen, in some moment of lucidity from alchool I recall thinking "this job will led me straight back to 2 years ago situation", but instead I convinced myself that it wouldn't happen and the next morning I accepted the new challenge.

After accepiting the job i was suppose to stay in for another 2 days to plan my move there and discuss possible projects which helped me losing all the winnings of the first night spinning around for 300€ each and totale gaming time for about 2 hours each night 4 k the first night and the remaining on the second.

Remeber the though about going back to the previous two years situation? As you may have guessed already, it did happened and on my first 8 months on the island I lost all my saving, the poker br plus a good size of my wages earned during those months for a total of 60K just for not following my guts of that moment

About 2 years ago, I had been working like a dog. I mean like 80 hour weeks every week. The reason: I was saving for a engagement ring, paying down a car loan, and also gambling every chance I got. So about once a week, I would drive out to Mohegan Sun to blow off some steam. I wasnt into baccarat yet, mainly played roulette and blackjack, usually some cash games of poker too... If i made it back to the room without losing it all or getting too caught up in chasing up and down and never stopping blackjack. Its hard to stop and grind a 1/2 game once your stuck 700 from the pits. So this particular time, I walk in the doors from the valet, and immediately start placing $10 a spot on the roulette numbers.. Im mainly a inside bettor, looking for a big win, not 1:1. well usually, of course a few times i plunked 500 on black, but usually i place 17, 20, 26, 28, 30, 35 and a few bucks on several other numbers. So on this day, the wheel was cold, I wasnt hitting, and quickly down a few hundred. Go to blackjack, and manage to win a few, but still down... I feel tilt setting in, i want to hit, but its like i get 19, dealer gets 19, push, lose, push win, lose lose. cant get ahead. I decided **** it, and color up 300 in black. I place these on corners of 22, 26, 20 and it hits one of them for $900. I decide to go to poker, but first smoke a huge blunt to the head. Well i am blazed, and my poker game is not good. Because I am playing like a maniac tonight, 3 betting everyone, bluffing huge, chasing draws. I started to lose, then started going nuts. I literally pushed all in several times with suited connectors preflop, and stacked off with middle pair several times. One time i had 79 and i raised to 15, 3 callers. Flop is K 7 10,, guy bets 30, i raised to 120, he snaps. Turn 8, river j. Ship it! I kept playing this way though, and donated 900 crisp benjis to the 1/2 community. And that is why to this day i will always remember this digusting spewfest, but never make the same mistake and play like such a dumass!

Update on 'M' from the degen story I told..

I don't know if I mentioned it in my story, but we're pretty good friends with the head security guy I'll call Liberace. Anyways, Liberace said M walked in today (well, technically yesterday) 30 mins after the casino opened. Since it was pretty much dead anyways, Liberace followed M to the roulette table and was kinda chatting him up, trying to make small talk.

He said M put in $20, bet $10 on both 17 and 20, bam 17. Obviously I wasn't there, but Liberace made it seem like M didn't even react, like it was business as usual hitting a number like that. M asked Liberace what number he was feeling, and he said 32. Apparently M went ape**** because it's right in the middle of 17 and 20, he thought it was awesome. He doubled and repeated his bet, as well as adding $20 on 32. Came red 32.

Liberace said M celebrated and cashed out right then. M gave Liberace $100 for saying the number, and left. I thought he was making this **** up because I can't see M winning that quick and leaving. Especially when you're willing to go that early on a Wednesday, haha. But yet, Liberace said he was back an hour later and stayed at least up until his shift ended. Liberace checked on him before leaving and M was at just over $4000.

I found out about this after talking to Liberace a couple hours ago. I shot M a text but maybe the degens sleeping. Then again, the casino wasn't closed when I texted him so who knows.

Sorry there wasn't much detail since I wasn't there, but I figured it was worth mentioning. I mean $20 --> 4k on just a random Wednesday on a crappy electronic roulette wheel's gotta mean something.

I think I got good karma back. Stopped in for some baccarat tonight. Back and forth for a while. Then a new shoe. Everyone else left I stayed and bet my whole stack on player to start the shoe. Win. All in on plAyer again. Win with 7 to 6! Third time now have 700 on player natural 8 win. I paused and counted my money. Have 1400 only 75 in red I bet that on player get 8 and excited banker pulls 6+3 👎. However I didn't lose much and left immediately recognizing my degen would make me lose all of it if I stay all night most likely. Another good win and I got my mojo back !!
More to come in next few weeks I'm sure as I am thinking of playing high stakes poker for first time. Maybe 5/10 to start with 1000 or short stack 10/25 which is better option?does Foxwoods have 10/25?
