I just degened 1,4$ (1 dollar and 40 cents) into 20,500$ in two weeks by playing PLO and some NLHE tournaments, ridiculously underrolled for both obv until just about now. This heater is the first time in 6 months I've had more than 1k$ to my name.

Fortunately nothing above PLO600 runs regularly on the site I'm playing on, since I've found myself to a bit of a gambling addict - a winning player though, I guess and hope (or a boomswitched fish, fine that way too).

A less unfortunate thing is that I don't use any tracking software, the graph would be pretty insane.

This is just some funny story that came to my mind while browsing through this thread. It doesn't involve high amounts but I'm gonna share it anyway.

A couple of years ago I played a backgammon chouette with three friends. We played €0.50 per point so it's not really spectacular.

Anyway, one friend of mine is down like 10 points when the drinks began getting to him. He was still waiting for a student loan and was living on €100 per month. This kind of explains why he was keen on finishing up enough to pay for his drinks. It wasn't a particularly ambitious project, because one of my friends is a huge backgammon donk...

Well, he was down 10 points when he began to beaver almost any cube he received, declaring "I want my money back" while doing so. It didn't work out so well for him, and then the game of the evening hit. My donk friend was in the box and cubed the three of us. Two declined, but the subject of this story beavered to get back to even and eventually pay for his bill. He turned the game around somehow, recubed (to 8) and was about to win a backgammon when he suffered a coup classique, during which he was even recubed, losing 16 points in the process.

After this game he went on instant mega-tilt. At the end of the session he was down more than 100 points and his drink bill, totalling to something like €70. We had to borrow him what we'd won off him and pay his drinks for him to make it through the month...

I realized online was slanted............. And kept playing.

Okay so I'm 1400 in the hole after not paying for score and 1200 after not paying a credit so tally it 2600 and my friends convince me to go to vegas.
I have 150 in account and somehow manage to withdraw 200 so leaving my negative in my bank account.

I get to vegas immediately (first time btw ) lose 100 dollars at war.... yeah, wow. So I'm like damn I need to just chill I gotta a couple of 1's floating in my pocket so I put it in the video slot things. First spin hit 80 bucks. I'm like hell yeah, cash out and take my other left over dollars to a nearby machine. hit 120 bucks again on the first roll I'm like hell yeah 300 bucks. So I sit down at 3 card poker and run it up my stack to about 400. ......eventually I get hammered and blew 200 and decide I'm done for the night. But so far I'm good having gotten hammered for free.

Next day I play 1/2 NLHE...easy game. 4th hand triple up with AK AIPF I run my stack up to 1000 after a couple of hours then take a beat and cash for 890 or so. Then I proceed to play slots again. I drop it 300!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm ****ing steaming so I'm like f*ck it let's play high stakes slots. I drop in 100, 2 rolls loose it all max betting. Throw in another 100 lose another 50 then boom, jump up 300.. So I'm sitting like 400 or something like that and I'm happy. I go back to 3 card poker and hit trip Qs and boom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 900 or something...happy and up to like 1200 I hit the sack and I'm stoked.

Next day I hit up the slots again...boom dwindle my stack to 600 or something. F*ck! I go back to 3 card poker and what do I see but!! wait wait!! 3 of kind Ks! Hell yeah and I was betting a lot so I get up to like 2000!! Wow, I can almost pay off a lot of things right now..hell yeah! I'm going back up to my room and going to bed forget it! I go back up and proceed to slam a 1/5 of jager....ut-oh... I'm really loving 3 card poker I suppose because at this time I'm blacked out. I go back to play 3 card and run it up 2500 after this I'm just sit my whole roll on the table and start betting ******ed amounts a hand. I wake up the next morning with 0!!!!!!!!!!! Holy ****! I ended up borrowing 100 from friend the next day and lost all that before we left...

Well...atleast I can play NLHE decent. Good thing I love slots and 3 card poker.

I am a student and had like 110€ left for the rest of the month after rent was paid and I bought the new IPhone and spent a hardcore weekend partying. And it was only the 9th lol. Next payday was the 1st of the next month and I had no money on my PS or FT account. So I called a friend and told him that I need money. He said "Lets drive to the Casino in Wiesbaden" (320km away) and patheticly the nearest Casino from my hometown offering NLHE / PLO Cashgames & Tourneys (**** Germany).
I agreed and my friend offered to drive there, if I would pay for half the gas. Ok so I gave him 25€ (again **** Germanys gas prices), and we fueled the car for 50bucks and went on the long ride.
2:30 Hours later, around afternoon we arrived at the casino, with only 85€ left we decided to play the "Rookies Tourney" they offer. Total Donkfest. 65 players registered.
My friend and me play on about the same level. So we decided to split whatever we win 50/50. Sure enough my buddy won the donkament for 1500€ and I placed 5th for 395€. Boooom!
So we spilt the money and each of us took 400€ to the cashtables playing 2/4 NLHE. I played like there was no tomorrow straddeling on every occassion, raising A LOT and ran super hot.
It was at the point when I had something like 1300€i n front of me and my buddy just doubled up where we decided to move tables. Said. Done.
So we transfered to a table playing 5/10€ PLO/NLHE mixed.
We bought in full for 1000€. First hand was Omaha and I looked down at AKJJds. I raised the max on the button with 4 limpers before. The BB and one limper called. Flop came AA10 rainbow, I was like uh-oh, that could be trouble. Suprisingly it was checked to me and I led out for full pot, BB folded, limper called. Turn K. In ya FACE! I try to keep my cool ( these stakes are waaaay to high for me) and call his pot bet with all my remaining chips. He Showed QJxx for the straight with a turned flushdraw. Well OK.
I had now more than doubled my buy-in and played for about 1 more hour without much happening, so I decided to call it a night. My buddy was down a bit and left the table with 850ish€.

As we were walking to the cage, we walked by the roulette tables. I ways running so hot, I thought I could do no wrong. I asked my buddy if it was OK if we put all our money on red. He declined, and was happy with his winnings.
Beeing the gready **** I am, I decided I wouldn`t let my hotstreak slip away like that. I took 2800€ (leaving behind exactly the double amount I brought) and bet it all on black. As the roulette was rolling my buddy was wondering "Didn`t you want to bet on red?" and I was like "No, wtf. ****, You are right!" In that very moment the croupier said "No more bets" and I couldn`t change my bet or do anything but pray.

I will never forget how the croupier announced "16. red. red 16!"

Boom! In my face. So that was that...at least I doubled my money. My buddy was breaking my balls all the way home. I told him "At least I have a story to tell."
And that is what i did.

Figured I'd bump and tell my story lol.

Got in to poker when I was 15 playing homegames with friends and people from school. Never was very good but I was very fortunate to have been blessed with a good family, so i always had money to play with. I made my first deposit on poker.com in 2005 and would start off depositing 25$ at a time. Never got anything started, and by the end of the summer of 2005 I had made literally like 50 deposits..ranging from 25-100$ and I had lost around 2,000$ when I was playing underage...at 15 lol.

I took a little break and when I came back to play a couple weeks later I got lucky and binked a donkament for 900$...which I shortly lost a couple games later playing 200$ heads-ups. Couple days later I get lucky and bink the same donkament for 900$ or so and we are back to where I was 2 days ago..I lost that 900 just as fast as the first one. (See Graph Below)

Started dipping in to cash by the time I turned 16 or so..and just right off the bat I was playing 1/2 up to 5/10 or so. I went on a sick run around this time when I had about 1200$ in my account. I had never played above 1/2 at the time but I figured it was time to take a shot when I saw a 5/10 NL game running with 5/6 players in the game. So I take a seat and buy in for the full 1k. I play as nitty as possible because this is like an insane amount of money for me. I am talking with my friend on ventrilo the whole time telling him everything that is happening. I end up running that 1k into around 2,800$. It doesn't last long though, as I slowly bled away all of the nearly 3k that I had on the table, and about 3 hours after I bought in with the full 1k, I am busto and have 0 on the table and only 200$ left in my account.

I was so rediculously tilted and angry at myself for not leaving when I was ahead that I obviously rebought my last 200$ right away, which was a min buy at the table. Couple minutes later I had doubled up twice and I find myself with my 1,000$ back and I left the table and called it a night.

Over the next week I take the 1,000$ and obviously using proper bankroll management I start buying in to 2/4, 3/6 and 5/10 no limit games left and right, and find my account sitting at 5200$ only 6 days later. I went on a sick run in the 2/4 game, buying in for 500$ and leaving the table with 2200$ a couple hours later. I am on cloud-9 and I cash out the 5k and the check comes a week later..I am 16 or 17 years old at this time(can't remember for sure) and I have 5k in the bank..which is HUGE for me.

Right now I am on top of the poker world and think I am gods gift to poker. I keep playing online and just hanging out trying to wait for my 18th birthday so I can start playing on better sites, like pokerstars and fulltilt, also then I could finally go to the local indian casino (morongo) and play in my first live casino.

More to come, tired of writing right now. I will tell how I got to where I am now, and the redic swings I had playing as high as 25/50 NL.

Wow, some of you guys make my brother look like a nit.(he is pretty bad) Now I'm a nit, but will bet sports or do a prop here or there but not for any soul crushing amount that would **** up my bankroll.

If I won $1100 when I just had $2.75 to my name (luckboxx) or had to sleep in a car cause I couldn't wait to gamble I'd just feel like a degen. It's weird though because when I read these stories I don't think "you dirtbag, who degen etc etc" and have no judgment for any of these stories, in fact I enjoy them. For some reason if I imagine myself doing them though it makes me feel sad. Probably cause I'm a lil older with a kid though.

I was and have been a limit grinder for years. But have a big leak with the stock market. I was making 300 a day multi tabling 2/4. At the end of 3 years I maybe had a 20k bankroll and had lost around 60k in the stock market. I was playing a little higher then, 5/10 mostly and usually able to make about 500 a day. Was feeling pretty good despite my stock market degeneracy, and bought a house, had a hot girlfriend, and then the sht got real serious. One day as I was leaving my house these 2 guys ran up to my car and yelled at me to get out. Before I knew it i was handcuffed and being hauled off to jail. Found out that there is this thing called taxes that I was supposed to be paying on all those winnings, but the only reason they came to me in the first place was that I got their attention with my $1,000,000 in daytrading that had occurred the year before which I hadn't fully accounted for. This mill was off only 10k in my brokerage acct too btw. They were claiming that i owed them hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. So I was facing 3 felony tax evasion counts. During this time UIGEA came out, and poker turned to sht for me, and I was struggling to make a dime. In between court appearances I was trying to peice my life together somewhat, and with about 5k in borrowed credit card money ran my brokerage acct up to 40k buying puts on lehman brothers, citigroup, bear stearns when they were all going bankrupt. I was hoping to make a ton of money fast so I could pay all my backtaxes and get them to cut a deal with me, and lucky for me I had just about saved myself. Well, I lost the entire 40k in one week on the wildest apesht stock market tilt you have ever seen. Busto. They did cut me a deal, reduced to 3 misdemeanor tax ev. charges, and I had to pay about 50k in backtaxes with penalties and interest. So today, i am winning again, paying all my backtaxes on time and wating for something to go wrong again. Oh yeah, and I lost 6k in the stock market this month. how different my life would be if I had never heard of the stock market. And btw, pay your taxes.

I've been trying to think of something good to put in here for a while, cause I'm a pretty big degen (if I do say so myself), so this is kind of a degen/brag....

Last July, I was playing in the Continental Poker Championships at TS, and I had planned to play the last 3 events (bi's of 500, 700 and 1100 or something). This is when I had a roll of like 5k, so I was just about as ******ed with my money as I am now. So I busto'd the first in some dramatic/tilting fasion (can't really remember), got 14/91 in the 700 (outkicked by 1.....it paid 12). I was so incredibly monkey-tilted, cause I bubbled and couldn't profitably play the ME.

I went home, the next day, and decided I was going to play AP's weekly 150k for $550, even though I only had 600 in my account, lol. I ended up FT'ing as the short stack (267 started) and I remember begging everyone to chop 9-handed. Anyways, I ended up chopping heads up, but I was in the chip lead, so I got credit for the win. Pretty sweet, huh?

Then I lose 10k of it running terrible at my first session of 5/10 and lost another 2k to some d-bag.......I was trying to get Stars money in a xfer (says his name is Mike Yalta and he lives in Southfield, Michigan, AIM sn Ec172) I'm pretty sure his AP name was AAYOMAGIC, but that doesn't make sense cause that's Alex Kamberis, so I dunno wtf happened.

Hope that was degen enough....next time I'll try to find one that involves me sleeping in my car, not being able to pay tolls on the way home from AC, putting all my winnings on red, or almost getting kicked out of school for gambling.

30,750. It's on pokerdb (CDQCSWIMMER). I think it says $37,500 or something, cause I was credited for the win....but I only got 30. It was actually a pretty sick FT from what I remember....I'll see if I can find the lineup.

EDIT: I think I chopped HU w/ Hangten? I think that's peacefuldork on P5's, foolishgolf and number1pen finished 3rd/4th.
