Very few things raise my blood pressure but this one did the trick.

If you remember back to the imawhiner video challenging Dabeear to a HU match, thetony (me!) and johnnybignuts (no clue if he's a 2+2er or not) basically outlined an idea for a private tournament for pokertubers, the password to be posted behind one of Bear's videos or whatever.

What we had discussed is a 10+1 at Stars or FTP, double-stack full ring NLHE. BigNuts took responsibility for setting it up and reached out to Pokertube to see about getting the game advertised on their main page. They told him they'd do that, set it up themselves, plus add a little money to the pot and we thought it was a done deal.

Now they're advertising this DaBeear headhunt, a transparent attempt at gathering some referral bonuses, and leaving those of us who were planning the tournament in the wind.

Incidentally, they chose a site that's not even open to US players (which means even if we still wanted to, JBN and I couldn't play).

If they had told us flat out this is what they were going to do we just would have gone ahead with our own idea. But now that they've made a mockery of the whole thing, it doesn't even seem like it's worth pursuing.

What a lousy bunch of bastards.

haha blimey, looks like playing 2 tables while rambling out loud really affected his ability to read the board. what a joke, I don't even play plo much/well but his simplistic analysis and basic spin on any situation really can't be taken seriously any more. And wtf at comments like "my tracker tells me I'm 58% to win this hand so I'm gona bet it...." makes no sense the way he religiously follows his tracker's advice and is probably why he will never improve his hand reading.

Oh and also, I think it needs to be mentioned,

[ ] Bear understands what a 3bet is.

I have noticed this on more than one of his videos, as well as several other misuses of terminology.

Ahhhh the MUppet cometh forth !! Just for everyone to note this player had bluffed me off sooo many hands it was a joke ! On top of this any time I did take him on he lucked out............As for his skill he has NONE. He relys on LUCK and shuving his stack. Before we had this little HU match he was throwing his cash around on a 6 man table like a FUD. He got caught out for all his stack on numerous occasions so he can boast all he wants that he took some cash off Bear and yes he did but he was well lucky trust me......I hope to see fudley on the 6 man tables in the near future cos on there he is indeed pish and easy fodder.

P.S. Sad isnt it that he resorts to posting his success against me on here for attention ? Or is he struck down by FAME cos he managed to win 1 HU session ???

Since this got bumped (oddly enough, by Bear), I want to retract this statement. For one thing, it turns out they are doing the 10+1 tournaments after all. Also, they've made a lot of improvements to their Web site and I think it's coming along pretty good. The level of discussion still doesn't rise to what you might find in some of the other forums here on 2+2, but it's not much worse than BBV either. I don't regret anything and I doubt anyone cares, but for whatever reasons I wanted to make it clear that my last post to this thread isn't an accurate representation of my current opinion of PokerTube.
