So I tried the Double Down for the first time today:
As you can see, it is not as evenly formed as in the ad photos:
Which probably means that the meat is actually made from natural chicken filets and not pressed together from pieces like giant chicken McNuggets - which I guess is a good thing. Here is a photo after a cople of bites:
Essentially, it's two Chicken Schnitzels with some Cheese, Bacon, and some Mayonnais-ish/Cheese-ish Sauce in between. If it was closed you would call it a Chicken Cordon Bleu around here. It comes in a standard and a spicy version, and I opted for the former.
So, it's not bad! It's actually kinda good if you're into that kind of thing - but why would you be? That's what I was thinking while eating this: "It's OK - but why?" It's certainly not a fast food revolution if you ask me.
I'll probably try the spicy version next time, then back to nibbling on bones.
