Myself, I preferred crispy for a while, but reverted to eat my chicken like the Colonel intended!

Maybe it's different in other countries, but KFC standard fried chicken in the bucket here in USA#1 is usually a disappointment, Original or Crispy.

There are over 9000 little bones in the biggest thigh pieces, and the grease always has that about-to-turn-rotten edge to it; and then there's the smooth sliminess of the colder reddish meat that's next to the bone, contrasted with the bites of inexplicably Sahara dry white meat that you occasionally run across in the middle of the biggest chunks.

It is less messy, true, but sometimes it feels like a 1:1 ration of coating to chicken, and with all the hotness I can't really taste the chicken. I love the hot wings though, the coating, the meat and the gristle harmonize very well with fries & mayonnaise!
