Usually you don't have to look for stuff like that; they advertise it so prominently above the counter that it should be hard to overlook?!?

Agree...But I also dont go to KFC very often so if Zinger Burgers are fairly new then I wouldnt know about them. If its been around for a while then they either they dont sell them here or they dont promote them at all in St Louis.

OK I had to check that on the KFC homepage:



Seems they only have to burgers/sandwhiches on the menu in the US, The "Chicken Little" (left), and the "Double Crunch" (right). The latter looks a lot like the Zinger Burger. Maybe they had to name it differently in Europe because of the metric system? Or because it doesn't really crunch twice and consumer protection laws forbade it?

I think the word "burger" is the issue here. The chicken littles and zingers are chicken sandwiches on buns; Americans dont call those burgers. Burgers are specifically ground meat patties (or vegetarian variations).

For me KFC (and perhaps all American fast food) peaked with the "Double Down" sandwich, which is literally two slabs of deep-fried chicken wrapped around bacon and cheese. It's like America on a bun, only without the bun. Amazing!

I would post a picture of this culinary awesomeness, but my photobucket account doesn't seem to exist anymore and I can't be bothered to sort it out. Here's a link to the "Double Down" Wikipedia page instead:

They had that here for a limited time; I considered trying it, but never did.
