Three of us are sitting at a 50NL table. I have 160BBs. BB has 180BBs. Button has both of us covered.
Both the button player and BB player are very aggressive players.
BU raises $1 which he is doing with a wide variety of hands.
I'm in the SB with AT and pot it to $3.50
Uh oh agro player in the BB 4-bets to $8.50. I've seen him cold 4-bet before. Not sure if I remember catching him bluffing or not. I think so.
BU player 5-bets to $22 This is unexpected. Is it possible that BU is making a move against us both. I 3-bet from the SB quite liberally and BB player isn't the type to shy away from making a play.
I look at the juicy pot of $34. I'd be risking $75.67 if I 6-bet shove. BU player has about 1/5 of his stack in the middle which isn't entirely pot committed. He would have to call $57.17 more to win $109.67, given I push and BB folds. He needs 34% equity to continue.
Even if BU were holding KK he wouldn't be too excited in this spot. Against a probable range of KK+, KK is only 22.61%. It wouldn't be a mistake to fold KK here given my 6-bet bluffing range is practically non-existent.
The timer on my clock begins ticking down. I hover my mouse over the buttons and...
Spoiler:
I click fold. I ran into an opportunity to profitably 6-bet bluff and I just didn't pull the trigger. I may never get an epic chance like this again since spots like this are hard to find. The players have to be just right. Aggressive enough to have a wide enough range and also disciplined enough to fold.
I know all you readers were looking forward to reading a hand with a cool 6-bet bluff, but this thread is more of an analogy of life more than anything else. Sometimes in life, you think things are going to get good, but then you find yourself disappointed when it doesn't. Life happens.
Reading the spoiler just tilted the F out me. He should of titled the thread, "Hey, Guy's I'm a Frickn Puzzy so Please Leave a Kind EAD Message For Me"
I don't think you understand what "cold" means in this context.
Shouldn't my hand be considered cold since I was the 3-bettor and not the 4-bettor.
A cold call is calling a raise after multiple bets. So for 6-betting cold it should be raising after multiple bets, I am facing a 4-bet and a 5-bet after my 3-bet which makes it cold. If I was the 4-bettor it wouldn't be cold, but since I am the 3-bettor it should be cold right?

OP, i dont understand what you are looking for with this kind of thread? Empathy, validation, criticism? I mean, that thread isnt even a thing as you did not 6b pre. I feel fooled. I am sad
