Can you bruise someone with an orange?

In theory I can't see why you couldn't bruise someone with an orange in a sock/bag woteva. But there are several factors to consider I think.
1. You would def need the 10 swings as some of your blows may be glancing and ineffective.
2. How ripe/hard is the orange? An unripe orange will obviously do a lot more damage than an over ripe one which could simply turn to mash on impact. This was not specified. (I have an orange tree in my back yard

3. Some people, like myself, bruise more easily than others. How easily does Joe bruise? Pale people seem to bruise more easily or at least the bruise is more visible on them than darker skinned people. How pale is Joe?
