I am looking but cant find a good bad beat thread where players can share the beats they put on and the beats that cost them an arm, a leg- their dignity.

I played in the 1 Million GTD at the Hard Rock in Hollywood FL- $570 rebuy. Capped out at 3200 or so players and $1.5 million GTD.

I was three times the room average with 110 players left ( 300 was the start of the in the money) Picked up aces in the BB.
Hero- 500k in chips
Villain just over 500K in chips

Blinds are 10/20k with a 20k BB ante so I have 40k in the middle already. Action folds around to the SB who limps. I raise another 30k, he calls. Flop comes Qc4c7s. SB checks- I lead for 35k- he jams, I snap.

Turn comes a 7 ( lovely) river queen. Villian is at the final table playing now for the 275k first prize.

I get dealt JJ, I raise to 35 dollars, young asian dude that just sat down recently but has been fairly active reraises me to 125. I call. My read is that dude is not very strong, probably AK-Aq 100 99 that sort of thing. Flop comes 10, 3d, 4d. I check, knowing he's gonna bet. He c bets 125 and I raise to 375 he calls.

I don't really like his call, but I still get the impression he has nothing. Turn is a 3s. I jam for 850. He tanks for 3 minutes, then calls.

River is a queen and I say well, I guess you have me beat... He shakes his head and says wow I got luck, turns over AQ OFF SUIT. It took every ounce of control not to flip the table over.

Here's a funny 'bad beat'.

Shortstacked in tournament it folds to us on the button. We find 22, feel pretty good, and shove. BB wakes up with AA and calls (*sigh*)

So we hope and pray for the miracle 2...but instead we get an ace in the window (*double sigh*). Rainbow board runs
A 3 4 5 (yay!)...and then an effin 2 we had been rooting for on the river for a split (OK, he had plenty of outs to win...but that one just felt mean)

I am new to this forum. I have been an active member on Mixed Martial Arts.com for years from my previous life. ( So much fun)

This forum is the result of typical human development. I bet this place started out awesome and grassroots and then you had moderators and people making rules.

Its a little stuffy for my taste and reminds me of most poker tables. Half cool people and half entitled nerds who think they are smarter than everyone else.
