In sports there is a saying that sometimes “you just need to forget about this one and burn the tape”

Do you guys ever have those sessions were you not only run badly, but you also play your C game and just feel like you’re the absolute fish of the table and you’ve forgotten everything you ever learned about poker?

Had one of those days today - misfired two bullets in record time, then felted at 2/5 in short order. Not my first such day in 15 years of playing but just wondering...

What do you guys do to dust it off?

Oh god damn I wrote another post and I accidentally deleted it but I really would like to share it with you all. It helps in every aspect of life in and out the tables.

The way how you look, talk, walk. It's really important. I think the most underrated thing in the whole world is your own apperance, everybody is comfortable with their looks, or they dont think about it too often. Good looks, good talk, good walk, good posture, good everything combined will open more doors in life than you could imagine, trust me i've been on the both sides of the drive by. Ive been most of my life above average looks naturally. I assume it because I've had since teenage years all my girls beautiful, all my female friends beautiful, I just dont socialise with ugly/average looking girls unless I have something to benefit from them I just love beautiful and good looking females and I do have high standards about it. Im not going to post any pictures just in case some people who I know or know the girls who I post off wouldnt be too cool for my image but trust me about it. Ive had period of my life when I was one of the most popular guy in the school, in the top 5-10 easily and Ive had period of life where i was 15kg overweight and I thought Im still hotshot but this wears off really fast when you gain weight and lose what you had. Obv I cut it all off in 4 months and I was randomly getting compliments etc all again like it was before. - LOOKING GOOD PHYSICALLY IS VERY IMPORTANT IN LIFE AND NOT ONLY FOR WOMEN. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. I GUARANTEE YOU WILL FEEL 100% better 1000 1000 100% better physically and mentally. plus all the other bonuses you have with it, more strength, endurance, etc it might save you in life threatening situations.

Please take care of your body, I know it might sound hard at the beginning but it's worth. It's not hard to count calories/macros (you dont have to even go that far tbh), just eat clean, try to. Try to have an excersise/run/swim but dont do it as a fish please, its just time waste if you want results, get into that figure out what and how you have to do to get your goal. Honestly good looks/body will get you far far longer in life than being slobby smelly fat or just skinny fat or just average looking human, trust me it will and not only with females, other males do respect you more, listen to you more, help you more etc, it's just something that's our DNA. obv dont hope all doors fall open just because you are 12% BF but it does have an edge.

Please shower, cut nails, have an hair cut before going out or to casino, be constantly fresh, wear clean clothes, they dont have to be supper designers but just clean and suit your style, combining accessories, clothes/shoes isnt that hard even when you havent done it yourself everyone of you has atleast 1 friend who knows it, use it. you must be the star everywhere you go with your energy, you must be one of the best looking dudes most fresh most stylish with best hygiene, it does benefit you in the tables and out the tables, 100% guaranteed for real.

The way how you walk does have an impact too, just read books about it. tldr straight back, confident look, dont stare down, shoulders back, big steps, it's all worked out by tests/science etc read books about everything thats +EV for your real life self it does help understandind alot of things.

How you talk, facial expressions etc it's everything science too basically just read books about physiology in general how to manipulate people, how they react etc, obv every human is different and you have to adjust but it does help alot.

this is completely non poker related post but I guarantee for everybody you will feel more better and confident and happy. yes I make 600$ a month but when I'm in my zone and wash/done I feel like a ***** millionaire and I've for fun trolling girls countless and countless times that I'm a lawyer/doctor etc throwing in some content Ive look out before heading out, it's really fun game for me lol. you can act your way to wherever whenever when you nail the game. the part is because the few posts about all good/private games are so political, its just whole another game than poker just to get to play poker but its surely doable imo.

Ofcourse mental health is JUST AS IMPORTANT, take care of it, please take walks in nature, I know sounds so usual stuff you read everywhere but it really helps, also try to move alot, swim, run, when you have good mental and physical health you are happy. and i can say it because I earn 600$ a month and I do these kind of things on and off, sometimes I just feel to not do it and dont take care of myself and I feel depressed shortly after few weeks/months. but for me ofc money counts alot so I have basically figured out the happiness without it but now I would really love to feel what does it mean to have money, I think I could do so sick things with it play my social games even higher level than so far. damn I guess I'm gonna even start my own topic about my journey from micro online eastern euro to shot taking hs in live.

most people who have read this thread understand that technical skill in live is not the only skill you need to win/play. you need every aspect of it to be really successful. basically just show people what they want to see and you get what you want. to be a succesful and rich poker player in the future you have to be a great conman.

final word for post1 i cant edit anymore:

I read your post about abyss, but I want to add I'm in the abyss in my whole life monetarily, you guys who run so bad etc still have the cash to play, i've run like that, I hustle/work/save/online myself a min buy in for a 1/2 game, then I go there get from 100$ to 400$ and then lose 1k pot nut flush vs rivered straight flush and it takes me another 1-2-3 months until I can shot again with min buy in because Im really on a tight budget so I can't shot even 100$ in 2 months, that's abyss. So basically I cant get any lower money wise in my life, so kind of reading your story looks like spoiled kid whining about that he got iphone 6 not iphone 7 for christmas while I never even owned nokia - no disrespect to you just my pow.

the above everything I wrote in 2 posts is not directed to OP, obv he knows how to act, talk, walk take care of his looks, its for general population!

I'm in it for the sadism.

I love it when they tilt so hard they all start screaming at each other.

Building the pot sky high to make all manner of profitable yet legendary bad beat call a matter of course is the best torture. They can't handle it. The table just breaks, and no one wants to play anymore. Then on to the next table to do it all over again.

God, I love poker.
