It's not even the end of the month yet and I've already had 11 flopped set vs set situations, where we've had 100bb+ stacks and we went all in at some point.
Lost 10 of them. Getting on my nerves a bit, usually it's like 1 or 2 of those a month.
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.
Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the bad beats, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of flopped sets vs sets or rigged poker rooms. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that. Now go on and fold more rivers.
It sounds like you're experiencing an unusual run of bad luck with set-over-set situations. While it's frustrating to lose so many of these hands, it's important to remember that these are rare events and the odds of them happening are relatively low. It's also important to keep in mind that even with a high frequency of set-over-set situations, the overall effect on your results will likely be small. To mitigate the impact of these losses, it's important to focus on playing solid and exploitative poker, and not to let the recent run of bad luck affect your play.
Nobody believes in you. You've lost again, and again, and again. The lights are cut off. But you're still looking at your dream, reviewing it everyday and saying: "It's not over until i win!"
You are responsible for your life. You can’t keep blaming somebody else for your dysfunction. Life is really about moving on. The reason I've been able to be so financially successful is my focus has never, ever for one minute been money. Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down. Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.
