Bubbled first tourney, gii good but was short stacked. Beat.
Dumped my stack end of Day 1 after a decent start. Beat.
Wife and I really enjoyed Arenal, Poas and CR in general. Brag.
Flight home 3 hour delay. Variance.

GL H0RUS, I'll probably do the March NLHE format event. The PLO event only had 30 runners, down from what I believe was an avg of 50 or so for the other NLHE events.

Damn that sucks.

Did you play the $340 cage satty or the $340 6max?

Glad to hear you and the wifey had fun!

My pkg (all of them?) included the $340 Friday 9p satty, which I had the pleasure of stone bubbllng.

It played as a six max, no ante, 30 min orbit PLO tourney format and finished at 2.30a. It was a good way to get a feel for the players IMO (Since I played so long in the satty, I played with many of the Cage players). I'm guessing there were maybe 8 locals in the 25 runner satty.

If you win the satty and were already in the tourney, you received a gold coin you had to use in the next days Cage as a double stack.

Options included redeeming for a second stack at any time, but had to be used immediately if you busted the first stack.

You could also purchase a gold coin prior to Day 1 if you wanted a double stack.

Phil introduced a rule where if anyone was all-in prior to the river, the dealer HAD to run it twice.

I am pretty sure the gold coin option will apply to the NLHE Cage events. The run it twice option was for the PLO event, who knows if that'll carry over.

Only other thing worth mentioning is that the field was smaller than the NLHE events. I believe the past events (all NLHE as you know) averaged 50-60 runners.
