I'm trying to figure out what is so difficult about this.
You were basically forced to sleep in the Van, and only for 6/7 days a week. Since you were allowed to leave, why the hell would you bother with all the porta-potty/food prep garbage?
Should have been forced to STAY in the van 24h/day for 6/7 days a week. That would be living in a van.
To everyone saying he didn't actually live in the van: How is this any different from living in a house or an apartment? You don't have to stay locked up for 24 hours a day to be considered "living" there.
